It's to the point where Nike has effed up this once insanely great line to where I'm going to remember it similarly to how I remember the darkest days of Jordan retros in the 2006 and beyond era that went on for years. The line was almost all I cared about when KB was still playing and still with us. And now I nearly don't care about it at all thanks to what Nike keeps doing to it. I really hope at least the Masterpiece IX is still coming and won't be messed up somehow. The rest of this stuff is just beyond atrocious.

God damn Nike, i hate you so much for putting out some solid colorways of 4's (Girl Dad, Philly, Gift Of Mamba to some extent) and 6's (Reverse Grinch, Italian Camo and that up-coming All-Star pair) but with 5's we get these hideous monstrosities, followed by those two Year of the Snake cw's next year?
C'mon Nike, we all know you can do a LOT better than this..

Prefer Draft Day 4s, but not mad at the 5s…Would take an OG colorway over some of these new releases any day. Would even take some TB 5s straight to the court.

Just returning here to say the Year of the Mamba and X-rays are the biggest monstrosity to ever be released in the Kobe line.
It's honestly one of the hardest shoes to screw up due to the colorblocking available but Nike managed to do it - they managed the impossible! do they have 5 year old running the design team?
The only redeeming thing about those two colorways is that I'll be easily identify those with terrible taste. Sorry but its true.
The Caitlin black-yellow PEs on the other hand are insane.
