I guess I’m more concerned with the legitimacy than the zip tie. If it’s just broken I don’t mind at all. Just haven’t heard of anyone who had a zip tie like this.

What exactly are you trying to do? tighten the ziptie or remove it. It's pretty simple to unhook it from itself. Use a flat head or anything that's strong enough to pull the locking tab down on the ziptie. Once it's out, push that locking tab up so it tightens when you try to lock it again. Works just like any other ziptie.

I agree. People were hatin on the coffe dye job but the idea was the best IMO. if they got it more evenly it would look better.
