On another Air Jordan release date, a couple showed up before we opened to exchange some shoes. They explained that they had bought the shoes and were given the wrong size. Inside the box were a kids left shoe and a mens left shoe WITH ANOTHER STORE'S PLASTIC FOOT MOLDS STILL INSIDE. They had obviously smashed the window and grabbed the displays. I asked how they purchased a shoe on the release date before any stores were open and they couldn't explain that. Then I showed them the Athlete's Foot inserts, explained that I was calling that store, and let them know that they were welcome to stick around and speak with the police if they wanted to get their shoes back.

Ohhh ic. I had no idea there was some sort of limit. In the past 12 months I have sent back 4 pairs. I've just had some bad luck with shoes. With my Kobe 6s outrigger coming off within the first month of wearing them. The hyperfuse material tore within 3 months of wearing them. i have dealt with getting a voucher for a good time now, and it is always the original retail price. ... if you dont want to do that i will take $240 shipped, if not that, i will break the cleats so whatever is your choice haha
if anything, i wouldn't have a problem with nike starting a system where you had to do something like register your shoes shortly after purchase in order to qualify for the voucher program, and being tougher overall on refusing claims.... otherwise i can totally see the program being ended because of abuse.

I remember in high school there was kids that would damage their basketball shoes halfway through the season so they could get new pairs (or the new colorway) for free. It was pathetic.

I'll be honest and say i pushed my luck a couple of times with Nike's return system: Pulled the sole off my wayups because they were just plain uncomfortable, and traded them against Air Max Uptempos.
Then returned a year old pair of Uptempos (not the same ones) for Jordan 13s.
I don't feel that guilty TBH, Nike made plenty of money out of me over the years.

IIRC, 'Warranty' is two years from date of manufacture. Too late for retailer, probably. Nike's direct return service might still work.
