I have never played in the PG1, but I've put in approx 10hrs in the 2.5s and no issue on my toes. I don't recall noticing any forefoot slippage so that's a good thing. I've been really putting in work and going hard in these and they've met my expextations.

Easily the most slept on colorway and they are super nice in person and on feet. FedEx dropped them off this morning and I took em straight to my local rec center as soon I got home from work to test them out.
Didn’t initially like this model after what we got with the 1 but it grew on me. It definitely improved from the original performance wise
