NIKE METCON THREAD - 7s out now

Does anyone know what Nike's timeline on product development / production / release date was like for the Banned's?


It seems like it could have been a rather quick process, or I am thinking Nike may have known that their shoes wouldn't be allowed in the games, and they were able to think these up ahead of time.

My guess is they already knew and were planning this. It is common knowledge that you can't wear anything but Reebok apparel and shoes at the games. Even when they wear belts and knee sleeves they have to cover up the logo. Great marketing though by Nike playing off the Jordan 1.

I'm trying to grab more. Australia doesn't play around with shipping prices. I didn't realize they would be as popular as they seem to be or I would've grabbed more of them than the volt ones. Shoot me a pm and I'll see what I can do. But I can't promise anything. Only other option I have would be is fly to Australia and grab them myself. But 20hrs on a plane for 22hrs in Sydney is tiring.

I know how you feel man. USPS delivered my invictus pair to the wrong address. I've been dealing with them since Saturday.

Well to be fair, Nike says UPS hasn't updated their tracking, it shows all they received was the billing information and UPS says they haven't had any package from Nike, just the billing info. So I'm chalking it as a lost, I don't have time to deal with this since I'm leaving the country this week!

I feel your pain...USPS is the worst.  They misdelivered a pair of my Metcons a couple months ago (ordered from FNL). Their customer service phone line is worthless, so I had to make multiple visits to my local post office.  At the end of the day, they said that the driver had delivered to package to my home and there was nothing they could do.  

Well, three weeks later I received a call from USPS saying that they had found my package.  It had indeed been misdelivered.  

Good luck, hope they find your package.

Yeah, my UPS and Fed Ex drivers are great. Can't remember the last time I had a lost package with those carriers. But I have so many "lost" packages with USPS. So frustrating since I buy lots of stuff from Amazon and they frequently use USPS.

At least big retailers like Amazon and FNL are quick to send out replacement orders.

Hope I didn't jinx myself. My Banned Metcons are supposed to arrive via UPS on Thursday.

Nice pics.  Agree with you...I like the Banned, but definitely prefer some of the other colorways (especially that new grey/orange pair).

Got to give Nike credit though.  They did a great job hyping the Banned Metcons.
