Nike LeBron 23

Bron's probably going to have to address this soon if he hasn't yet. I'm still assuming this somehow got cleared with the family.

Nike has yet to confirm the details or story behind these, but if true who cares? The hotel has been a museum for years now and sells merchandise that is the same color of the 23's that are releasing. Nike make a shoe and now the line is crossed lol fake outrage from people that don't even wear LeBron's smh.

are you black?

That doesn't matter, but yes I am. Folks have been begging Nike to release BHM shoes again, Nike does this and it's still not enough. Nitpicking at it's finest and because it's LeBron people are overreacting for no reason.
Lebron is the goat (and I’m top 10 biggest MJ stans on here) but it really is a little odd, and I thought that the moment the theme gott unveiled to praises in here.

But I’m sticking with giving Lebron the benefit of the doubt. He’s a brilliant guy, and thinks through nearly everything.

(Also to me the city itself acknowledging its own history with a color of a building inside its borders is a different thing than this colorway of the 23).

No outrage needed, its just a lil weird. But hopefully he explains it and has the go ahead from the family.

Dude, it was where he got killed. It's like having a Tupac tribute dedicated to the Las Vegas strip.

Lebron isn't the goat, because nobody thought Kareem was before him, because of longevity.

and Lebron the guy who fake reads books? You're giving him too much credit.

While I hear this and completely get it, but why was it applauded and respected when Memphis dedicated a whole uniform set to it?

I'm well aware of the significance of the building, but it has also been a land mark and museum for the Civil Rights movement and the shoe was designed to go along with his equality theme.

Not arguing or anything, just genuinely asking/discussing.

I don't follow or care about the Memphis Grizzlies, so I don't get the what about argument 🤷‍♂️

You don't see how them making a uniform out of it and being applaudedrespected for it and then a shoe doing the same is creating outrage aren't contradicting of each other? I think it's more who the shoe is tied to (athlete) is the issue.

I didn't know about it and probably a lot of other people didn't.

So I can't go back and complain about the past.

and the what about argument is bad. It's a what about Chicago distraction.

It's not though. It's that a precedent was already made in regards to it, but I get it.

The museum is used to educate and was turned into a positive. It's a Civil Rights museum.

The shoe is used for what exactly?

and I really started hating it when it started becoming a double entendre for Lebron calling himself King.
If you get the Museum closed down we will accept your opinion about the shoes.

I don't care about you kid. I'll say what I want. This was a mature conversation before you joined in.

If you don't see how dumb that museum argument is it says everything about you.

I just assumed teal was being used because that was the original color used by the Vancouver Grizzlies. 🤷🏽‍♂️

The museum turned a negative into a positive.

Again, what do the kicks symbolize?

That's what you picked out, out of 39 years? It says everything about who's making the decisions.
but who, besides a arbitrary unofficial source on twitter, said that the kicks symbolize the assassination rather than the museum?
