Dude cant really be on twitter trying to make a point, but just generally it weirded me out when they announced these.

I just told myself Bron or Nike cleared it with the family

Brother, you’re not feeling 1 oz difference. If your are? Time for you to hit legs twice a week if that’s the case.
I promise you leg strength is not my issue, I lift more often than I hoop now. It may not actually make a significant difference but it definitely feels like it. If that wasn’t the case then you’d see more quicker guards in the nba wearing heavier shoes. They all wear lighter shoes. Not even LeBrons son wears his mainline shoe very often because they’re so bulky, he usually wears the witnesses or Kobes. A lot of it has to do with heel to toe transition also, a shoe that doesn’t transition well is gonna feel heavier than it actually is and the 23s feel clunky at first. It gets better over time

Are we sure THAT’s the reason he chooses to wear something different?

Again, the main point was a single ounce. You are not feeling that 1 ounce difference when you’re playing in them. That’s the original point the OP was making. I own both the Book 2 and the 23. Played in both. You’re not feeling that difference there. Especially that minuscule.

Let me add a little context to my previous post…

I can understand while this release might make some people feel uncomfortable… I’m not sure it should bring about feelings of outrage though.

The motel is not just the site of a horrible tragedy but home to a Civil Rights museum… so if that’s the angle of the tribute behind the cw I guess that’s not as bad.

I mean, teams like the hawks have jerseys that honor him, and l think that’s fine, but making a shoe based on the color of the spot he was assassinated seems a lil tone deaf. Do you expect Cooper Flagg to have a grassy knoll colorway?

yeah if the museum is there why is it not crazy to have a museum where he got shot? Teal shoes are a bridge too far?
It's someone making something out of nothing for attention, as most people do nowadays. The guy acts like nike is financially hinging on this one sneaker to stay afloat or something. It's a tribute shoe, it's called honor the king for God's sake. Shut up

Something that was a site of negativity was flipped into something positive… and I’m assuming that’s the tribute.

Does the grassy knoll have any other significance that I’m not aware of?
