Worn mine today for a league game… I’ve posted pics before but I probably have close to twenty pairs of the 20’s and these DL’s feel pretty similar to all the others. The upper material might be a little less snug, but cushioning and everything else feels about the same.

For sure would have to check in stores for larger sizes, probably will be a ymmv situation… but online for us bigger feet people these are cooked.

I don’t know why NW had to be so negative on the release timing lol. They’re hotter than any 22 and possibly 21 released ( the Olympic pack not withstanding).

Makes some weird points in the video, IMO the XX/XXI/XXII are VERY similar as is with minor differences in lockdown and nimbleness. These big brands should be able to churn out sig models yearly and still be progressive. I might agree with cutting down on the amount of models/lines like Precision, Immortality, Witness, etc. but that's driven by corporate greed and will never go away. Sigs eventually get priced down to the prices of these aforementioned lines anyway. XXIs are on eBay going for like $60/70 right now. You’re essentially getting a better package unless you can get a budget model for like $15/20.

As for the timing of the release consider it a retro for all I care, the first Jordan 11 retro was 4 years after the OG, literally just one year off from these. Nothing weird about it. Nike should actually do this more often especially since they have more time to “read the room” on how the public feels about certain models/colorways and then do what they did here, RELEASE THEM AND they were pretty easy to grab. LOVE IT.

And the South Beast colorway was one of, if not the best colorway of the XX.

Agree with one of, the XX is one of the few recent models to have a GOOD amount of out the gate bangers (TM, Trinity, Debut, Christmas, ASW, SB, VF, Fab Five) South Beast is definitely up there though and that’s GR’s. Best would probably go to these DL’s or the Record Breakers IMO.

I feel like Pink has always been hot, they’re just weird with releasing Pink stuff. Coming from a soccer (football) background. When they debuted the all pink Mercurials known affectionately as the “Pink Panthers” I went crazy circa 2008, here’s a video of professional players/coaches and media people reacting to a first look at an all BRIGHT pink cleat. Pretty cool, wish there was something like this in the basketball realm with players reacting to the first (enter crazy color way here, Grinch? SB 8?) on a basketball shoe.



I know they probably had Kay Yow basketball kicks or LBJ’s Gloria PE’s prior but I don’t know if they were full on bright pink like the cleats but yeah. Pearlized Pinks did numbers 13 years ago. Should be done more often (yearly if it were up to me).
