Yea the 22 is not on par with the 20. Not saying it’s uncomfortable but it’s a step down compared to the 20.
This.

Don’t own a scale but feel pretty confident if you weighed all 3 models you see a gradual increase in weight… also I think the fit has gotten better since the 20’s (no issues for me personally, just based on comments I’ve seen online).

Although you can wear whatever you like, I kinda feel like each model is (unintentionally) catered for a different position:
20 - guards
21 - wings
22 - big men

The 22 is the first model that I actually haven't owned. Just speaking from an aesthetic perspective, the fit doesn't LOOK as guard friendly as the 20/21. It also seems in every on foot picture I see that there looks like there's a lot of space between the back of the shoe and the person's achilles. I've heard good reviews about their performance I'm just not in love with the overall look. Truth be told the first colorway and the olympic colorways were the only ones that did anything for me.

The 22s are for sure the heaviest and most secure/ strictest of the 3. Currently the 22s are to be had around 70$ in multiple colors right now… if I didn’t have any of the 3 I can’t say the performance is that much of a difference to grab those 20s at 210$ vs the 22s at 70$. Around the same price I’d go 20s/21s then 22s

Out in Vegas and scored another pair…

They also had scattered sizes of the Token cw but were asking $140 w/o any discount so had to pass on those

The foundation of the shoe is basically the same… each successive year adds a little more support, but it comes with the price of added weight.

I think for most people the 21’s would be the sweet middle spot… but the 20’s are def the best of the 3.

I weighed all 3 and you are correct. IIRC, it was about a 40g increase for each model, just under a 10% weight increase for each.

Colorways are atrocious, but the one pair i did purchase did well when I played pickleball and got a couple of runs in at the gym. Paid $50+ for mine and I can't complain about the performance for that price. Local Hibbetts had the black/white split joints for $65. $60 for a pair of Move insoles or $65 for a sig? I'm a 22 detractor, but it's simple mathematics for me lol.

Seems to be little to no hype for these. Resell is only $80 above retail. Seems like these shouldn't be terribly difficult to cop

Those were my favorite XXs.

I wish we would’ve gotten a real Lakers and an alternate Cleveland colorway.

20’s are definitely high on my goat list (arguably #1) of performance sneakers. If I had to rank my fav cws I’d probably go:

1) Time Machine
2) Drew League
3) Trinity - Simple, but love the combination of Bred w/ gold accents

Honorable mention: Liverpools, EYBL, UNKNWN’s

3) Cleveland

I’d bump 2&3 if they dropped the Scoring Title and Laker PE.
