They look like those fake slipper shoe things they sell at the mall.

There's keeping a DNA signature running through a line, but this is turning into straight inbreeding.
I'll take it!
But I have to admit, I come from the mindset of if it's working, you don't need to redo everything. So l absolutely hate when gui designers think they need to move every. single. ****ing. thing. around when they come out with a new iteration of their software. Like you had the controls all on the left? Lets move em all to the right. You used to right clicking and doing a, b, and c? Lets take all those options away and put them someplace else, just for giggles. No.
The Kyrie 6s are some of the most balled in shoes of the last couple of years. For all positions. Centers wear em, guards wear em, wings wear em. And it aint just the price point cause you can't say that about the PGs and the Freak 2s and those are at a fraction of the usage of these. Like pick a day where there were 6+ games on the NBA schedule and I bet at least one person is wearing them in all 6 games.
So I don't need them to remake the wheel. Don't need them to try to come up with an eclipse plate or battleknit mess. And they pretty much just tightened up the shoe and took off the strap, so that's music to my ears because while I do play in the 6s from time to time, I hate straps on shoes.
So yeah, I'm prolly in on these, especially if they're as good of a performer as the Kyrie 6s. 7s went the narrow route and that sucked, but these look good to me for wider footers. But to each his own. Still wondering if the KD/Kyrie mix shoe is gonna show, or if Ky will do or say some dumb **** that messes those up lol
All shoes stood out and were completely different with their outrageous designs. Nike don’t roll like that no more.yalll remember walking into Footlocker in the 90s?
i use to be in awe.
now everything is just "blah"
even go back to the early 2010's. LeBrons 7-10, KDs 4-7, every Kobe but especially the 8's. Even the hyperdunks from that era were niceyalll remember walking into Footlocker in the 90s?

Not comparable because outside of the big 3 the rest were some trash. Even other brands back in the day were killing it.even go back to the early 2010's. LeBrons 7-10, KDs 4-7, every Kobe but especially the 8's. Even the hyperdunks from that era were nice
I think it’s a mixture of that and the amount they invest in just having a players name on the shoe. For starters, they know it’ll sell based on that alone. On top of that, it’s eaten away on their budget. Just my ideaThe designers probably have some wild ideas that get reigned in by corporate. Nike isn't as fun and innovative with their basketball shoes anymore.
But we get these:
