I have OG VIs in my normal size and they fit perfect but protro Vs I had to go half size up to get a good fit.

A dude had a listing for that price and sz as well.... I messaged him numerous times and he finally responded that it's for a size 7.5 and he sold the 11. Why folks dont do these listings properly. Smh

I think with these comparisons. Are the original grinches you have, deadstock, cuz that's the only true indicator. If they broken in, wont be the same.

Shoe of the year 2020 for me and it’s not even close. I could care less about exclusivity most of the time. I absolutely love this shoe. Was never able to get the 2010 release because I was in college and broke haha.



Tried them on to see how sizing would be in case I had to size swap..



I went with my usual Kobe size- 9.5. For reference, I wear a 9.5 comfortably in Kobe 8 and Kobe 9 Elite lows. I also wear 9.5 in Vapormax, flyknit trainers, flyknit racers, AM90, Yeezy 350 V2, and AJ3.—basically anything that runs tight.

I wear 9 comfortably in Kobe 9 elite highs, AJ11, GR AF1 lows, dunk hi’s, FOG1, AJ5, AJ6, and blazers.

A 9 in AJ1 will fit tight at the top of my foot near the toebox, and a 9.5 will have room at the toe. Same with AJ4– snug in a 9, but 9.5 is a little more loose but wearable.

I wear an 8.5 comfortably in timberland boots and chucks.

Tried to give a variety of shoes for reference there. Anyway, these grinches fit VERY snug at the toe (and this is technically my 0.5 size up that I got—I also threw on thicker Nike NBA socks). But it’s tight like at the top of the toe. Feels like snug padding. It’s not that my toe is jammed at the end of the toebox because I’d say I have about an index fingers width of room at the toe technically. I wouldn’t say it’s uncomfortably snug either, but it’s snug and there’s no give because of the material of the shoe. That being said, the rest of the shoe fits perfectly and I’m not sure if going up another half size to a 10 would remedy the snugness of the toebox, but rather would just make the shoe clumsily long on my feet. I’m not a 10 in any shoe at all. Maybe I’ll grab a 10 from GOAT to see and just return them if they’re too long and just eat return shipping price. .

We essentially fit footwear the same way. My Perspective 9s I wear an 11 while my laptop red 9s was my normal 11.5. For chuck's I wear a 10.5 and that was the same for timbs way back when i had them(had to switch up to Sperry duck boots cuz timbs are uncomfortable and heavy)

tbrill11 I agree with the sizing. They might take some time to break in though. The insole is thicker and firmer than other kobes. Also, I’m with you on the Masterpieces. The grinches and the masterpiece are the only kobes I’ve paid high resale for the day they released lol. I still think the masterpiece is an overall nicer shoe though.

Grinches are great to look at but they are terrible on anyone’s feet but Kobe’s on court.

Comparison of the OG vs. Protro via YT

Kicking myself for not pulling the trigger at $400 SMH a few weeks ago... If I can't get them for $400 around or after the launch, I'll just go the resale route on the Kobe XiD instead and put these on the back burner until it gets to my target price.

So are there any major differences? It looks like the outrigger pieces is a different color but maybe that's due to aging/wear on the 2010 pair.

Got mine yesterday. They're beautiful in hand but these are narrow and run a little snug. I'm an 11.5 and can pull off an 11 in some shoes. These feel like they'll break in with time, but a 12 would feel nice.
