Passed on this pair, barely wear my Masterpiece cw and I love that shoe.

Congrats to those who were able to cop

Got mine easily on SNKRS this morning as well. I absolutely love the IX High Elites and also love that most folks hate them now. Makes it easier to get them for retail or below. That definitely wasn't the case when some of the IX Elite Highs originally released.

a lot of those elite highs were hated back then too

i took out my old pairs and all of em had outlet price tags on discount and thinking about it, i think i paid retail for one, maybe two pairs at most

Oh, I know that not all of the OGs sold out right away, but some did and I wasn't going to pay the resale prices back then on the ones I missed out on 10 years ago. I'm just happy that now I don't have to jump through hoops to get these things now.

Hit on the raffle on SP and couldn't pull the trigger on $270+ after shipping and taxes. i'll be ok with just the MP colorway

Man people really ain't ******* with the 9s. All of them fall to retail price. These mambacita's are right there at $200.
I’m convinced price, to a certain extent, does not matter. We live in difficult financial times but people have proven that going into debt is no big deal (crazy to me). To me it’s just the timing. The most popular shoes across serval brands is 130-40 bucks, and the current trend is retro running shoes.

I’ll add to this too, the whole gimmick of “ohh these are rare and hard to get” is done. The masses don’t care to play those games. Even if Nike doesn’t make it hard to buy something their selling tactics are synonyms with wasting time lol.

Most collectors have dozens and dozens of shoes at least. If you wait it out, the prices always come down because people sell shoes they bought but never wear to fund the next retro pickup. To top it off, Kobe reps from factories like Godkiller are so close it makes one question buying off StockX or GOAT when workers have to quickly inspect at low pay and high volume. I believe this has also brought prices down across the board.

Everything is cyclic, be it Uptowns, sambas, dunks, Jordan 1's...

Popular means little in the social media age, because people move on just as fast as they started.

When people complain about Nike's tactics, I can tell they don't actually buy other brands. They just use them as some sort of example. Go to New Balance's website on a release date with that dumb *** in line countdown. What in demand New Balance, Asics, Saucony is easy to get? Nike has a thousand different models to choose from.

From my perspective too, Kobe’s have always been a basketball only shoe. They look good but do not have casual appeal TO ME. That said, the tech is beyond dated and the “protro” stance is out the window. For the price, Nike offers many shoes for less with better tech.

That said, for me, unless these hit below retail I really have no use for them. The MP was HARD to skip over but something tells me that down the line they’ll be on eBay for dirt cheap

And of course before someone say “why is this baddd?!??????”, it’s not.
