Nike KD 17

Madison Booker in some Texas PEs not sure how long she’s had them but noticed them yesterday

Anyone notice a difference in lockdown and support between different colorways? I’ve tried the Sunrise and Penny, both had horrible heel slippage and lockdown. I just tried on the Alchemist and Vibrant Purple at an outlet and both felt substantially more supportive, and the heel lockdown was really good.

Waiting for a deeper discount but I really want to give these another shot because I really enjoy the traction and the cushioning.

I wonder what dictates whether a model becomes available on NIKE BY YOU (NIKEID) or not.

After wearing the 17s casually a few times, I was convinced they'd be good performers. But I was confusing casual comfort with game-time functionality. Cushion setup still delivered but there was absolutely no lock down. Even with my socks doubled up (Jordan and Nike Unicorn), I found myself constantly re-tying them in attempts to get a tighter fit around my ankle. Had nothing to do with how low cut it is because my Sab 1 and 2s keep me secure and locked in at an extraordinary level. I figured that I may have been jumping the gun early on in the hoop session after the 1st 2 games, so I ignored my natural instinct to swap them out for my back-up pair and kept them on for the entire 3hour run. Eventually I was able to disregsrd the loose feeling, settled in, and found my rhythm. All in all it's not a bad shoe, but the lack of lock-down left a lot to be desired and will prevent me from reaching for these again for future runs.

I added eyelets to mine. Perfect lockdown.

I may have to try it. Was very disappointed to say the least. Your execution looks flawless on the added eyelet. How?
I add eyelets to many of my shoes. Started with the LeBron 20, it made the shoe feel one with my feet. Couldn’t stop doing it to many shoes, because it’s such a big improvement on lockdown even when you don’t think you need it.

Puts grommets together (and punches holes, but not as great as punching holes; used it for a while just fine)

Punches holes. Don’t need this if you get the kit above, but I find this better at punching holes.

Grommets. Better than the ones in the kit. Longer and easier to put on.
