Nike HYP Chase (ASG, Fragment Design Trio Released 2/12/2015)

No offense to anyone who copped, and if you wanted them, got them and are happy with them, more power to you.

But to me, the name for these is SO fitting.  Hyperchase.  Chase the hype.  I swear to god someone at Nike is laughing hysterically about this.  They put out a great looking "performance" shoe with hardly any substance.  Is this what it's come to now?  We have to switch out insoles with Lebrons or Kobes on a $120 shoe, assuming we even have them in the first place?  I hate hearing that and it's insulting to customers.
But it looks so good... and its a Harden pe

I do agree here to an extent, it is pretty pathetic... haven't tried the PU insert yet so I can't speak on how good/bad it is personally.

For me, any low-top model sort of intrigues me, ever since I got into Kobes. The lacing system, shape/tooling of the shoe and traction had me curious to try it out and tbh, the customization option of throwing in a kobe 9 or 8 midsole was sort of a selling point.  If I didn't have extra insoles to throw in it, it would be a no-go for me hands down.

Just talked to by Nike rep and was told these are sold out in my size. Are these drying up or are there still pairs out there?

I just now got off the phone with a NikeTown Chicago rep and they said they still had my size available and will ship it to me!

A James Harden $120 sneaker that was still in most HOH's a week later is about hype :lol

Additionally, it's not like this thread is going nuts.

All hype aside, the all star shoe just looks good. Can't see the problem with people liking a shoe because of how it looks.

Don't want to bother going back and forth because this topic has been so thoroughly discussed and argued.

Yes, they look great. They definitely look like $120 sneakers.

No kidding. People buy up 20+ year  technology retro Jordans that feel like crap in comparison to more modern shoes and they're gonna cost you close to $200, maybe more or less depending on the model. Further, I'm sure there are a healthy amount of people that do nothing but walk in their shoes and don't have an athletic bone in their body. Makes me laugh when people talk NIke tech in shoes as if they're the best at everything. Especially the runners. Not all, but a majority of "real" runners ain't running in no Lunar 3s, Flyknit Air Max, or Flyknit Racers. Let's be honest, a lot o peoplef buy because they look good and they're relatitvely comfortable. Hell, I'd take Adidas Pure Boost overalmost any Nike in terms of comfort.  Most "real" runners I see are wearing Asics, Brooks, etc. I'll reiterate that point again. Most aren't, not all. There are some "real" runners that wear the Swoosh, but I don't seem them that often other than the "casual runner" on the treadmill or just trying to get a few miles during the week. At the end of the day, we all buy shoes for various reasons. But if came down to strictly tech standpoints as the reason people bought shoes, I'm sure a fair amount of us wouldn't even be on sites like these. Besides, they're $120. Not cheap, but if you're speaking relative terms of the Nike basketball lineup, they're "cheap".

While not ideal, for a shoe to add an insole or mod it, it also doesn't make it complete garbage. Poor analogy, but you replace wheels on a car, exhaust systems, suspensions etc. Does mean that car is a piece of crap? Not always. Just means the owner either wanted to change something for aestetics, performance, or possibly both.

nike has gotten so lazy. they have started to use more hype and advertisement to sell shoes instead of the shoes themselves. all they have to do is throw color everywhere and ANY shoe sells these days. these look so much like a kd it's stupid. I want to see some true innovation and radical designs.

You should be a shoe designer....

Might b one and done with this shoe.

Broke mine out tonight and the left pinkie toe is hurting. I even went up 1/2...what a bummer the shoe looks so good.

Finally tried them on tonight and they're pretty comfortable and they're pretty dope looking on feet. I'll wait and cop in another week. They're not moving like that.

BAAAAAAH!!! BAAAAAAAH!!! (sheep)

Exactly, I'm sure Bred/Royal/Banned & Fragment 1s are just the pillow of comfort.

Same dudes bashing this shoe for comfort will be the ones in the front of the line buying up Oreo 4s in 2 days. The nonsense that's typed in this forum on a regular is downright comical sometimes.

Got mine from Finishline release a few days ago. Get here next week. Oh and GO ROCKETS!

During the Kyrie 1 introductory press conference Barkley said he tried on Jordans once and they felt like bricks, and that if MJ played in those he really must be the greatest of all time

Got these, the NikeLab green/brown ones. Like em.

I personally love the ASG JH PE! I don't ball but for style and casual purposes the shoe feels very comfortable to me. They somewhat remind me of some Roshe for some reason but I like them. I honestly think the materials used on the Hyperchase are better than the Kyrie 1's (no disrespect to the Kyrie 1's because I like them too) For me the ASG Hyperchase are my favorite ASG shoe out of the back next will be the KD's then the Kyrie's.

Just received mine as well, I couldn't be happier. Shoe looks unbelievable and I don't know where all this hype talk is coming from. It's a $120 shoe, even at resell you looking at about 180 take out the fees and shipping ain't nobody making any money off it! If you don't like it, move on but why knock people who truly like the shoe?

Tried my pair on. Glad I went up a 1/2 size. Might get more colors mainly the navy and white pair if I can catch them for the low.
So you went size 10? If so, do they feel a little "sloppy" in the heel, like they slip a little bit? Or they fit well all around?

^^^ yea I went with a 10 because I read that someone was saying they were cut a lil small.
I don't feel anything abnormal about the fit but I'm not a stickler like some people are with how they fit. They def aren't flipping off my foot and they feel like most 9.5s fit on me.

@sneakermane  straight preachin at folks tonight

There ain't no retro Jays I can wear for 8 hours straight, feel horrible.
Retro Js are like men's equivilant to a women wearing high heels. We wear them because they're dope, not because they feel good

At the end of the day, the things come straight off foot
