Thanks bro...they already said the first start day would be June 28th if hired. I applied to the Factory Store in Rosemont.
good **** what store you applyed for?
I have a question I think you people might be able to answer.
What is the difference between a Nike outlet and a Nike factory store?
There is no difference, factory stores are outlet stores. Nike was just getting away from the term "outlet" because of what people come to expect. There are clearance stores, factory stores and brand stores, 2 of which are NikeTowns while the rest are just Nike stores. My girl told me and i barely remember what she said, so maybe someone can correct me if im wrong.
Nike Factory gets items that 3rd party stores sent back to nike.............Its called an RTV/Return to vendor. Makes sense because a lot of the items at my girls store looks like stuff that sat in stores on sale for a long time.
Nike outlets are items that may have production flaws or overproduced or just went on clearance at nike stores and never sold.
Yeah dude the AM90 Corks sold out in about 30 mins, we didnt get that many pairs but when they restocked in women's people were going ape over them.Word. There is always some heat there. Chocolate Futures for $140 was mad dope. & you like working there? Last time I went to NikeTown Chicago was for the AM90 Corks and dudes were wildin out for those.
I'd say you're good to go... I don't think they waste background checks on people they don't intend to hire.
Also applied to the NTNY store, got the background check this morning. Wanted to know if this meant if I was basically hired or not considering I have a clean record and all
Any idea what's their uniform policy? Not sure if they give us the uniform or do we buy it. Thinkin of wearing my own nikes but not sure since they're nikelab

I like working there alot, it gets pretty hectic with all the tourists from Mag Mile. I enjoy it overall, gotta represent that swoosh right my man.
at my store (Factory) they gave us 2 blue legend tees, and any 2 black pants or shorts we wanted, they gave us the option of any pair of shoes in the store up to 85 bucks but I declined to take anything. We can wear any shoes we want to as long as they're Nike/Jordan and they need to be clean.

Nike has stupid names for things. Athletes = employees, coaches = managers, huddles = meetings, rookie camp = training. So just be prepared to fill out paper work, learn about Nike and watch a bunch of boring videos.what does rookie camp consist of at niketowns?
Hey man let me know when you get a call from them I also got a background check from NTNYwhat does rookie camp consist of at niketowns?
I applied for athlete not sure what floor they might put me onFor sure, what position did you apply for?
There is a difference........If you go to a factory store and an outlet store, you`ll see a different in the products they sell. There is no difference, factory stores are outlet stores. No. There isn't. Nike just renamed the outlet stores as factory stores. There is a difference........If you go to a factory store and an outlet store, you`ll see a different in the products they sell.
Like in the outlet thread, alot of folks post pictures from nike outlet locations. if i took pics of what the two nike factory stores here in Saint Louis had, you`d definitely be able to tell which was which.
one example, the factory store still has lowtop Lebron XI in that lime yellow or bright yellow colorway and they are $130. the ONLY size they have them in is sz 11......i mean a TON of them and no other sizes. there was some type of flaw with the sz 11s of that model and color (i was told) so thats why they still have them.
Shoe is over 2 years old, lol.
It's common for most companies to use the term factory in place of outlet but then what would we consider Nike's new "community" stores as?
No. There isn't. Nike just renamed the outlet stores as factory stores.
