I don't think they ever did.
All that was really said was that we could see an auto lace shoe in 2015. MJF getting his pair confirmed it. Everything else has been speculation.

Well, if I had been smart (that's a big if), I would have kept my McFly Hyperdunks I sold a few years ago. Seems like today might be a good day to throw them on eBay. An NTer got a good deal back then.

The sneakers were going to hit eBay and resell for thousands anyways. You most likely were not going to cop. The whole purpose of Nike doing the auction is to cut-out the reseller so that rather than a profit being made, the funds raised go directly to a charitable cause. Also, the price on the auctions will likely be cheaper than if Nike released these and then they hit eBay because there will be more sellers on the market and resellers won't initially ask for sky-high prices.
