If having a massive love for the 4 is unpopular I'll join you in the club and well make it better then the popular opinion. Gotta have a huge respect for someone who has tinker as their avatar!

Not so much having massive love for the 4 but not having near as much love for the 3 is what’s unpopular! The 3 is ok to me but I love the 4.

At this point. JB has zero excuses. Nike fixes the Air Max 90 this year. JB imo did a fantastic job on the recent 3s shape and cut/tongue. Also the 11s from 2018/2019 retros are pretty spot on.

I keep hearing they fixed the tongue. Maybe in regards to the top stitching yes. But it’s still not puffy like the OG was. The black cat 4s tongue was puffy but the shape and stitching was still a tad off.

The biggest problem with the 4s is the overall height and panels being way off. But we’ve been getting butchered 4s since post 99’.

unfortunately we will all cop on pure nostalgia. It’s just too bad a brand makes they’re own product the same shape as the bootleg sites did prior to them l.

Thats how smart they were, they cut the height of the shoe, but left the tongue the same dimensions. JB needs a person like Hoopfresh to consult on how to fix this shoe. Ive been complaining about the IV since 2005 on how butchered it was relative to others models.

Netting was terrible, not slanted, plastic material and yellowed quickly
Heel tab was smaller
Toe box was terrible, something they refuse to fix
Stitching under the Wings
Tongue thickness

Plastic Lace Tabs were changed

2019 Black Cement IV Improvements

Stitching under the wings was fixed
lace tabs were corrected
Height was a little improved


Things they ruined on the 2019 that needed no change

Nike Air is not properly centered
adjusted the height of the tongue with the height of the shoe
