Nike Air Jordan 4 Retro "White/Cement" - The Aftermath - NO BUYING/SELLING/TRADING

The speckles on my Jordan 4's seems to always have their speckles worn out. I'm not sure what causes this, but this recently just happened to my white cement 4 2016 pair. Jordan brand upped the price on these joints and had the nerve to call them "Remastered", while I'm sitting here wondering why are these shoes having their speckles scuffed up so easily by a few wears

. Does anyone know the cause of this and how to prevent it?

Craziest thing dude, after saying I've never had it happen to any of my kicks with cement speckles - check the pic. Just noticed it the other day, went back and looked at earlier pics and def wasn't there. Haven't even cleaned them yet.

Yeah, I tried to tell you guys.. Sadly cleaning them doesn't really do anything. The more you wear the shoes, the more they smudge. The OG's or 99 version doesn't do this and that's what makes me mad. I'm starting to believe the cause of these smudges is because they're easy to scuff :/

Even the 2012 's didn't do this. So much for remastered if the speckles smudge off, they are comfortable and look great, but this sucks.. Funny thing is I can't figure how this would've happened, it's not like someone stepped on my heel or I dragged it.

Do you think it's possible to prevent this by putting Angelus varnish on the speckle area before first wear ? Like thin coats ? I didn't un'ds them yet and i want them to stay fresh forever

I've clean mine twice with the typical cleaner from shoe stores and haven't had an issue.

My.02 for what it's worth.

I assume you won't notice the scuff until you see it because it isn't bad on your pair. My white cement 4 right shoe only has two smudges, I believe one from a friend that accidentally dragged his shoe against my shoe one time and a smudge that looks similar to yours on the medial side (I also don't know where it came from). From looking at my Oreo 4's, they all look like scuffs. It kind of makes sense because I did drive, walk, jump, and unconsciously bump into things with these shoes (basically wearing the sneakers

I hope so, maybe a scratch resistant product? If not, I might just repaint the mid soles myself when they look like trash..

*EDIT - Actually, I was told that products shouldn't be able to help because it all depends on the prepping and paint job

That's what i'm afraid of because i've noticed that paintjob seems to be weak on these... it's crazy, every release will need a repair kit for the paintjob now.

You guys are just making stuff up now. This is one of the best retro releases to come out in a very long time.

Well that was his opinion.. I like the shoes and all, but you can't argue how the quality on the 2016 pair are different from previous releases.

Don't get me wrong, i love the shoes and i think that they nailed it ''style wise'' especially with the nike air and the right shades of colors but for that price they need to have a perfect paintjob. I still think it's the best release of the year.

Only explanation for the specks smudging is moisture or heat, could even be from your hands when you take them out of the box to put them on.

They definitely look like scuffs, just look at all the images from the previous posts above..

Def scuffs from some type of contact. Why else would the smearing be in different directions on the same shoe?

Finally found a legit, & right priced pair.
Spent $315, $15 on shipping & $299 on the shoe.
Pretty much paid $61 over retail not including shipping.
Only pair I've missed out all year long, & really wanted. I hope they come out in good shape.

Solution: Scuff them up so it looks natural.

dudes about to kill themselves over smudged speckles out here :rollin :rollin :lol
I'm not trying to argue with you guys, but there will be a point where the smudges will look unnatural and the shoes will look straight up trash due to them. Did you guys forget that we bought these shoes as remastered pairs and paid the inflated price of $220? I damn well expect these shoes to hold up as good as the previous releases.
