If that is the case then I am all in on these shoes. It seems like Nike is slowly making all of their shoes with better quality. Is that a concerted effort by Nike or am I just seeing what I want to believe?

I honestly don't know. I have a friend that does colorways for Jordan Brand and he has been trying for years to get them to do things properly. All I know is that when I saw the catalog pics with the correct blue-grey shade, my eyes about popped out of my head. I just hope Nike executes it properly. I'm excited to see a pair in person.

No, I didn't. The og's had the nappy suede/nubuck, so that's exactly what I meant.

so if the og's had the napp, what's the difference between the last time they retro? personally i like the 2001 retro over the og's and the last retro..

i hope they look like the 2001 versions.. i need that dark grey on the shoe because judging from the pics, that cool blue and white sole just dont sit right with me

That last retro was funny. It was still a nice shoe, but even though they fixed the nappy suede, the color was way off. This time, they got the color dead on, but we don't know if the material is right yet. That's the one thing they still haven't fixed on the Grey/Yellow Trainer Max 91. That whole shoe was made of cool blue nappy suede. If they ever retro that one properly, I'm in for at least 3 pairs.

I agree that last retro wasn't so bad, Once the new retro drops and if I can get my hands on them I'll try to put up some comparison pics.

I'm hoping one of the people that got their pair from that early Eastbay release puts up pictures so that we can see whats in store for the rest of us.

Welp, from that pic it looks like the cool blue is durabuck and not suede. Oh well, I guess 2 years from now Nike will make a black pair with the cool blue nappy suede.

I prefer durabuck anyways... i usually stand for retros being more like og's but in this case im glad they switched it up a bit.

now if they release that cardinal cw, fingers crossed.

Yeah, I'm not sold on these.  Looks like another shoddy retro.  

Knowing what Nike CAN do when it wants to (MB AT3s, QS SCIIs, etc.), it makes it hard to accept the run-of-the-mill crap product we've grown accustomed to.  

At least they got the color right?
