^ you're trying to blur the line because you're one of the people that I'm talking about.

Just because you're girl is ok with you calling her that word don't make the word right.

Same goes for your college buddies.

And the N word has everything to do with this situation. Because it's a Racial Slur that's used on a bigger level.

Rather it's ER or A. That **** shouldn't matter. I've always felt this way. And yes I'm a black man and yes I use the word amongst my friends. But hardly ever in public because I know it's not right.

Again I say you can't be halfway with this. You're either against Racial Slurs and you never use them. Or you do use them. Period.

There is no pick and choose.

you say you use the n word yourself

So if a team or business used the N word, you would accept it because the context you use it with friends should be held in the same regards as a business?

You feel you would be picking and choosing if you were to be upset about that?

Seriously asking how you would feel about it

The N-Word is not right to be used.

Neither is the Dipset's real name.

But there aren't any Billion dollar companies called the N-Word that used millions of dollars of public money to finance the building they operate in.
The late Jack Kent Cooke paid for the stadium privately.

I want to answer this question honestly. But I know my answer would do me more harm than good. So I will just leave it alone.

I've spoke on this situation and said how I feel about the situation. No need to say anything else.

No matter what you want to say the team name is a racial slur and needs to be changed. Same with Clevelands baseball team

"Indians" is not a racial slur

you have beef with the logo, fine. but "Indians" is not a slur

70 million came from the state of Maryland

It was primarily funded privately but the public still put money in on it

It is though, Indians come from India
The Indians depicted in the logo are Native American

Would you be cool with something like "The Charlotte Arabs"?

i mean they're not slurs though. there's a difference. you can describe someone as an Indian or an Arab (i think) and not have it be offensive. if you call some the R word, it might be offensive to them. same with the N word. and so on and so forth.

now whether or not the name is stupid, that's another thing. Charlotte Arabs would be dumb as hell, but not necessarily offensive :lol

The Skins have a strong racist history. George Marshall had to basically be forced to sign black players in the 60's. Dude didn't care how bad the team did, he was not ok with black players on his team. He was a flat out racist. So I'm guessing he wasn't giving Native Americans a compliment by naming the team that. A lot of people I know in this area know the name is offensive to some but it's hard for them to let it go. Even as somebody who's not a Skins fan it would be weird if they change the name but still, you gotta look at the man who gave the team it's name. People might have to just let it go and move on from this name.

It's still funny to me how the NFL decide now in 2014 to flag the N word. It was ok back then but now that black people use it amongst each other it's a problem.

People having attachment to the team name is the dumbest thing about this whole thing.

Like what history is there to a team name of a football franchise. Because its been around for so long it supposed to have this rich meaningful history to it?

70 years from now are Jaguars fans 8o going to be mad if the their team changed names to the Dragons?

I know a dude that's got the logo and name tatted on his calf, wonder what he'll do if it gets changed.

Pretty much coming down to people telling others what they SHOULD be offended by. :lol

*Out of curiosity, where was this debate (on NT) 2-3 years ago? Are we now just on our moral high-horse, or is this something that has been eating at yall for all these years, but you're only now comfortable voicing your opinion?

This is the type of conversation that will get me banned. So because I'm a black man I HAVE to want the name changed??? Oh ok

I'm done with this.

Mob mentality.

it's that and i think the decision to penalize use of the N word on field has fueled this debate as well

Every time I see the Indians logo I think of the old cartoons that portrayed black men. Lol...like it's literally an Indian version of that smh

totally irrelevant

whether some people are jumping on this issue now or have had these feelings for many years when it wasn't being publicly addressed - it doesn't matter.

it doesn't change the issue or give those who are supporting this racist logo/name any more weight to their side of the argument

@ProFootballTalk: Texans trade QB T.J. Yates to Falcons for LB Akeem Dent, per league source.
