i'm going to continue ranting just because i can't bring myself to finish my work.

we had an awesome line. they either got overpaid, got old, or left, or a combo of the first two or the second two. we dropped a ton of cash on retaining our franchise's face (dre) but then we dropped a ton of cash on arian. i love arian, i think he's great. i think he makes in a game what alfred morris makes in a season though.

our special teams is bad. jacoby jones left us and immediaely became a super bowl champion-- arguably mvp of that game too.

tom savage isn't surviving this mess. and we'll need him or yates at some point because fitzpatrick just dies out as the season progresses. i was also a huge schaub apologist week after week and the dude would just keep throwing INTs or Pick 6s. rough, rough year last season

Paying wide receivers is crazy and only bad teams do it. :rolleyes

Wait is that the Super Bowl champions at 2?!?!

How is this possible?

Let's not act like they won because of their highly paid receivers though.

That wasn't the point.

A few months ago folks came out the woodwork claiming if you spend a lot of salary cap space on Wide Receivers you don't win. I'd say john Schneider knows what he is doing and he thought wide receiver was an important enough position to devote a large percentage of his teams resources on it.

The two teams that just played in the Super Bowl are near the top of the league.

Its not arguing its simply revealing information that the average person isn't aware of.

Preliminary 2014 Standings

AFC East:
Pats, Dolphins, Jets, Bills.

AFC North:
Bengals, Ravens, Steelers, Browns.

AFC South:
Colts, Texans, Titans, Jags.

AFC West:
Broncos, Chiefs, Chargers, Raiders.

NFC East:
Eagles, Giants, Washington, Cowboys.

NFC North:
Packers, Lions, Bears, Vikes.

NFC South:
Saints, Falcons, Panthers, Bucs.

NFC West:
49ers, Seahawks, Rams, Cardinals.

There's no question Carroll/Schneider thought WR was important since they devoted plenty of resources to it early on. Not clear that they were right in that respect.

We'll learn a bit this season how important a star receiver is from Cleveland without Gordon and Buffalo with Sammy.

There y'all go again with the preseason picks. I remember us being picked last by everybody on NT and sports pro and ATL wining the division.

How did that work out?

First overall pick.

Weak as team with weak as jerseys, no quarterback and your elite RB and WR are on decline. Don't talk to me bc your team will repeat last place again and have a top 3 pick next year.

Please tell me you're willing to overpay Andy Dalton.

I'm ready.

IMO Bengals are in a tough spot. Team is too good and talented to chance it with AJ. They have to pay Dalton and see if this team can make a serious run. While I don't think Dalton is a great QB I do think he is good enough to make a run. Just need all the other pieces to really play well and him not to f up. But I have doubts on him making enough plays himself to win playoff games which makes it much harder for the Bengals

How are you guys predicting the Eagles the do?

We have a tough schedule.. Outside of the east we play: @colts, @49ers, rams, cards, panthers, @packers and Seahawks

We kinda have to do well in the east.. And I mean 6-0 or 5-1 well.. And can't lose to jags, texans and titans

Getting to 10 wins again is going be tough

I expect us to be a better team, but I'm not sure if our record will reflect that.. Just like foles, he may regress statistically, but that doesn't mean he has regressed as a player.. He did have 27 passing tds and only 2 ints

You ain't touch nothing over, Just speaking on the real.

Yea Houston has one of the worst jerseys in the nfl right behind Jags.

Just one man's opinion. Benjamin wasn't enough to address the WR position, felt Carolina missed on James Jones. Also didn't make complete sense to sign Johnson and Hardy long-term. Especially when the Panthers could have locked-up Hardy earlier at a lesser price. I think your squad overachieved as a whole in 2013. Duplicate it and prove me wrong.
