My issue with the Rice case was that it took seeing the video to decide he needed to be suspended indefinitely? He admitted to hitting her, why did we need video footage to prompt the NFL to get rid of him?
yeah man i mean he basically admitted to knocking out his wife and was shown dragging her out of an elevatorMy issue with the Rice case was that it took seeing the video to decide he needed to be suspended indefinitely? He admitted to hitting her, why did we need video footage to prompt the NFL to get rid of him?
went both ways. she also stabbed him. Not all DV situations are the same.
Even if they didn't see it... They could have found SOMEONE who did and would be able to tell them "yea your boy Ray really ****** up in there".Public outcry. That's what it is. No way you can tell me that the Ravens brass or the league wasn't privy to this video. There's just no way.My issue with the Rice case was that it took seeing the video to decide he needed to be suspended indefinitely? its mostly feminist groups
it's more than "feminist groups"
but even if it was just feminist groups that you care to single out, would they be wrong?
He's isnt really caping to be fairLMAO what happened.Peter King, putting on a shield for the league in MMQB

made me laugh...i think he had it right with 'is'*are still hiring*He can see if the dealership Gordon is working at is still hiring. Lol
Oh really?Browns have two other RBs that are good. They don't need Rice.
All this would have been avoided if Roger would have suspended Ray for 8-12 games. I hope Ray sues the NFL and gets money because this whole situation is BS. Ray definitely deserved more games but if he doesn't play again, it's BS.
it's usually an accident when people get hit by cars. dude was drunk. should have done a stretch in jail. you go hit someone in your car while drunk and think you'll get a break because you stick around and call the police. It was an accident and paid millions to the family who thought that was good enough. The guy was culpable in his own death for running across a six lane highway.Wait, so Ray Rice got cut and could possibly never play again in the NFL for beating his girlfriend. But Donte Stallworth can kill a man and still play?
We're not talking about cnn, it's tmz. And there's no doubt in my mind TMZ didn't just get this tape. **** yeah they waited. This isn't a story that can be broken by another news network. This was the tape that they bought and paid for. No one else had it.tmz probably had the tape the whole time and was just waiting for nfl week one to start to release it
So, you been lurkin since 12 just to post some **** like this
TMZ don't sit on stories.
No self respecting journalist sits on a story like this for more then a day in fear of someone else beating you to the release.
"mostly" - did you take a poll or something to come to the conclusion that it's mostly feminist groups who are being vocal about this? i don't see how you can make that claim, so all it is is basically an empty assumption put out there as a way to basically say "hey look at those people with their radical politics. they have an obvious agenda to pick"its mostly feminist groups
it's more than "feminist groups"
but even if it was just feminist groups that you care to single out, would they be wrong?
and i dont like what you're implying

LOL GOODELL 0
He's isnt really caping to be fair
but he's basically blaming himself for the article he wrote in which he was told (like everyone else) the league saw the tape months ago
15 guys on a roster in comparison to 53 active, plus 10 practice squad. Not sure how the per capita numbers balance out.NBA players don''t get into as much trouble as NFL players.

I'll bet you $100 dollars that on a percentage basis NFL players commit more crimes than any other sport.
Forget the raw numbers.
Yep the courts found the guy who got killed guilty for his own death...Dante just happened to have been drinking. He also beyond paid the priceWait, so Ray Rice got cut and could possibly never play again in the NFL for beating his girlfriend. But Donte Stallworth can kill a man and still play?

Doubt it. NFL's lawyers>>>>> Rays lawyers.Damn.
Just watched ESPN and saw that video
Can't believe they dropped the hammer on Ray like that. Wether it's the right or wrong thing, who knows and at this point it just makes the league look foolish. There's no possible way they didn't have this video evidence before, now that it's gone public they decided to really punish him.
The only question I have is what can Ray do? Does he have a legit case to sue the NFL?

I don't think the NFLPA will want to back him just to back him like that.
Maryland is an At-Will Employment state which means if you work in MD, you can be fired for little to no reason at all from your employer.
Even if he did sue and somehow won... How much is that gonna matter? Maybe he'll get a settlement for a few million? NFL still comes out on top because no one in the league will sign him to a contract anyways.
