The manning jokes remind me of lebron jokes. I see some similarities between the two.

Missed this sorry. But when you build a team specifically for the purpose of winning a superbowl around this one player and you lose like you lost these games then yeah it's a failure to me. I love Peyton but this was a fail.
How did they build around him? They gotta QB, upgraded their defense and O line. Tried to get weapons. That sounds like every team's goal, every year.
Wut?

They brought him in and (at his PERSONAL request) installed his offense from all those years with the Colts. So they ditched what they were doing before and went with his ****. They got weapons to fit that style of play and surrounded him with players that he could mold and elevate.

They went all in at the FA market and spent on the o-line and defense. Sacrificing future long-term cap flexibility for a fully open championship window.

The organization built around the QB to win now. Stop caping for your boy and call it how it is.

BTW, I'm cool with how Elway did it. Not his fault he has a bunch of suckers as players and coaches.

At least someone sees it.

Look at it how you want. I'm not here to be righteous, I'm here to talk and talk **** about football. You can exercise your rights, but you can also choose where and how you do so. I can respect what's said, but not when it's done in ignorance. For that, and because you chose to derail a good thing, I don't respect the message nor the poster.

Whatever. Better this gets locked. My OG name can't even post in here anyway.
that's totally fine.   no one said you or anyone else had to reply to my comment so that's your fault for choosing to even respond to it. if you and/or others ignored it, guess what, my post would be buried a few pages back. but you quoting it keeps it on front page.

but while were on it, since what i posted bothers you so much for some reason, why not show me the errors of my ways, refute what i said and show me how what i said was wrong rather the accusing me of trying to derail a thread.

again, just because you disagree with something doesn't mean its "ignorance" and someone trying to "derail a thread"   that's a closed minded way of thinking.

i don't really take the media that seriously, but they have the outlet to influence public opinion on a player.
Nah
Every year when Manning loses in the playoffs, people on Twitter and Facebook literally roast Manning
"Mainstream" media is not as effective in the digital media in this current age

Anyone who has common sense see what's the broncos did for Manning.

They loaded up for this run.
And Manning still found ways to lose
Colts defense were on one today though
Vontae Davis especially

:rollin @ the mere inkling of a thought that the broncos were not built around manning. lmaoooooo

Caping for my boy? I'm a Giants fan, I don't care about Peyton. He got his ring, this game doesn't matter to me.

I think I just look at building a team around a player differently. I think of it as trading away draft picks, making bad moves specifically for Peyton. They gotta bunch of defensive players that didn't show up today. That's what every team should do. They implemented his offense, sure but was that expensive or a mistake? Is it his fault his WRs had a few drops? And lastly, I've said a few times in here already that Peyton had a bad game. All I'm saying is, people saying he should retire is a joke. Denver cuts him today, at least 10 teams are calling his agent tonight.

PM me or create a thread around it. We can chat there. Just not here. Don't be blind to the fact that these comments completely change the trajectory of conversation and in that, the threads purpose. I don't think you're completely wrong, but again, not here and not with blind ignorance. People hate on Peyton plenty.

I'm done with it. That's really all I have to say.

him being overrated has nothing to do with him getting a pass though.

how am i saying **** peyton by pointing something out?

how do i have hate for the man when i never met him and view him highly as a person from eveything i've seen about his character on tv and from the media?  like i said before, calling him out for his constant underacheiving isn't hating on the guy.    i don't like tom brady, but it's nothing i can really critique him on in terms of on field performance. he doesn't choke in the playoffs regularly.
