Yeah, that's true. He is coming off a previous major injury into another new system, however. But you're talking about one season and he had a good season, just didn't have a "Revis" season.

Let's do a little compilation of Seahawks opinions on the internet:
-The cornerbacks aren't good because they're carried by the safeties
-The safeties aren't that good because they're carried by the cornerbacks
-The secondary in general isn't that good because it's carried by the pass rush
-The pass rush isn't that good because it's carried by the coverage in the secondary
-The linebackers aren't even worth mentioning, since they're carried by both the pass rush and the secondary
-The quarterback isn't that good because he's carried by that entire defense to help him have the 3rd most TD passes all-time in his first two seasons, much like the stats Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson and Mark Sanchez put up with the help of their defenses
-Pete Carroll isn't that good because he's carried by John Schneider's drafting
-John Schneider isn't that good at drafting, it's just that the coach does a good job in development
-Marshawn Lynch is good.
Just a team full of average, system players.
Did I get it right? @Ballerific703
Some of you Seahawks fans have got to be some of the most ***** made dudes around. As much as some of you dudes compare and rate other players on other teams you dudes have the nerve to cry and try to gain sympathy from the masses whenever anyone talks about your team or a player from you team. If you can dish it, you should be able to take it. If not, prepare yourselves accordingly as S&T ain't and shouldn't be for the faint of heart.

Nobody said Sherman is trash or that he isn't a very good corner. Just because someone doesn't have him ranked #1 doesn't mean that's some great injustice. Dude is obviously very good at what he does but to act like Sherman isn't slightly at an advantage against his competition at the same position from other teams given the help behind and around him is asinine.
It's like the fans are taking on the same persona as Sherman himself, whenever anybody talks about the corner position in general, here comes Sherman and his legion of crybabies begging for attention just because. The **** is sickening.
Dude, let me say this to you, your fanbase and even Richard Sherman if he has access to this post. In regards to the "opinions you've heard on NT" or elsewhere, the Seahawks just won the Super Bowl, your defense overall is highly regarded by most to to be the best in the league, and Richard Sherman if your reading this champ, you just got your big money contract..............why the hell are any of you dudes worried or concerned about the opinions of those around you.Hey man I don't know what you are so butthurt about... I just compiled together some general opinions I've heard here on NT.
@ Revis is still the best corner in the league
True. Goes for many positions at the NFL level.Truthfully I don't think the average person myself included has firm grasp on the defensive schemes and responsibilities of the different elite corners.
People act like they do but when it comes down to do its all personal bias.
