Welp there  it is folks. If that's not personal bias I don't know what is. Before his first official NFL snap, you were running your mouth, literally saying Carr would have to "win a close game in the 4th," or "get the Raiders to a .500 record" for you to change your opinion about his individual ability and talent as an NFL QB.

Like I said main you're a joke. You're ignorant, that's fine we all guilty of having episodes of acting more familiar with certain teams and players than we really are.

Actually... I gave my thoughts on Derek Carr before the draft. Watched a lot of Fresno State football, including two live games:

Said the areas in which he needed to work on, and why I hated the slurpfest going on because of his combine/pro day. Pointed out flaws in his game and why he wasn't worthy (imo) of a top 5 pick. He's still got many of those exact same issues. Most of the Derek Carr slander was in part to the tomfoolery happening in this thread:

But you're right though. I haven't watched every single snap of Raiders football. Maybe you have a better perception of him because you have. Maybe you're slightly biased as well -- everyone is guilty of it in regards to their favorite players. Who knows, all I know is, in the few Raiders games I've seen this year... he's looked like the guy I thought he was. We'll just have to continue to agree to disagree on that front.

Fair enough. I wasn't high on Carr at Fresno State but I've been pleasantly surprised by some of the key weakness he appears to have improved on. His story will continue to write itself we'll see how things pan out.

Like I said, I hope he proves me wrong.

He can start by winning a game this weekend. :evil I'll be Derek Carr fan #1 on Sunday.

Lets agree to disagree Carr lovers.

Derek Carr is not good.

McGloin > Carr
Look at the stats.

ill take a 5'11" walk on from a Penn State Pro Style Offense over...
...a 6'3" 2nd round draft pick from a Fresno State Spread Offense.

I aint gonna apologize for that.
McGloin passes the stat and eye test over Carr...by a mile.

You def should work for the Raiders

You being a Raiders fan and watching all of their games since they were in LA does not give you credibility to judge the caliber of an NFL QB. Also, especially being a Raiders fan, it certainly shouldn't give you any merit to judge what is and is not a franchise QB. Since LA they have had Rich Gannon as their best QB, and that was only for 4 years with exceptional help from coaching, system, and the talent around him. Not clowning at all, but that is just fact, you nor I has seen what makes a franchise QB in Oakland.

You have no merit or basis to say this (Bold) as fact... So, using logic or something you KNOW and can prove, what makes you say this?

McGloin is not, was not, and will not be a starting QB again. He isn't good. Where people get this from, I'll never know. To argue getting Mariotta... fully could understand this argument. But the guys going so hard to for starting a 3rd string QB who wasn't good is shocking to me. Not really, ,it's NT, but there is more than one person saying as much.
Exactly where he should be. He did a fine job as a backup. He should never ever start on an NFL team again.

So what makes Carr a starting QB? What does that say about Carr if Matt McGloin/McGroin "the bench player" has outperformed him?

Im waiting for real Derek Carr analysis and stats.

That is the reason why a big portion of the Nation is calling for McGloin over Shaub and Carr.

Funny. Im good doing what i do

There are many of us not just me who thought

Megatron over Russell
Pierre Paul over McClain
Gradkowski to start over Russell
Gradkowski to start over Campbell
Keep Hue Jackson
Fire Allen after year 1
Keep Mike Mitchell
Keep Palmer
Keep Valdheer
Start McGloin over Flynn
Start McGloin over Pryor
Start McGloin over Carr

Only thing we did right was draft Mack and Sio Moore.

Anyone who has a sound opinion with stats to back it up has to be an arm chair GM.

what great stats does McGloin have that you speak of? he stinks

I have watched more Matt McGloin games then anyone on this board and he is a 3rd string QB at best

Ok dude.

ill just post 4.

Based on the 6 games he started as a ROOKIE he was...
2nd on plays of 20+yards (manning 1st)
5th on Yards per game
15th on TDs per game
And his offense was 14th in pts per game

Carr?
