It's like a big greenhouse. They have huge doors in the front that open up, but no retractable roof. It gets the job done as far as I'm concerned. Nothing crazy though.
ah ok thanks.

also noticed you guys had on matte purple helmet during your rookie camp.

they looked

along with your new jerseys.

Yo gms, you believe in confidence?

And I never said it would for sure win games. I just speculated that it's a factor, and you took it and ran with it to the extreme. Yeah, you're the troll.

Thanks for bringing that up.

i thought they said it was gonna be an outdoor stadium?

does it retract or something to that extent?

its an outdoor stadium with a retractable roof. i get the glass on the retractable roof for sunlight. however, the big glass sections on the sides of the stadium might be a bit much.

edit:

Will the stadium have a retractable roof?
The legislation calls for a fixed roof. The Vikings and the MSFA are currently exploring options for a retractable feature, such as an end wall, a window overlooking downtown or a portion of the roof. These decisions will be made in the next 60-90 days.

The Colts had 8 games last year decided by 1 touchdown or less. They won all of those games. I think they're a good team but that's a lot of luck falling in your favor.

So all those Colts games last year were luck, but when people questioned the Texans you said it was mental toughness. Where's the consistency?

Months later and you still don't get it. Just go away you troll.

Nah I get it , you're just full of it. You've backtracked on every single aspect of mental toughness. Said it would win games down the stretch and later that it wouldn't. Now saying that it isn't even universal for each team. Others it builds and fosters while other teams just get lucky. You sure I'm the the troll?

LOL.

We've had this argument like a dozen times but just to reiterate. Yeah, I believe in confidence but I don't believe that it matters enough to do anything as far as influencing the outcome in football. A. It is so far down the list of things I consider factors (Good players, coaching, gameplan, etc.) B. There are alot of people that have a stake in the game. Teams don't win because the "organization mental/toughness quotient" is better than the other teams.

And be honest you said the Colts went 8-0 in games decided by 7 or less and said it was luck, in the same situation you said the Texans were building mental toughness and were better for it. I know how to infer man. For one team it's good and for another it's an anomaly, even slightly bad. Was I trolling or did you not say that? All I asked was where's the consistency.

I didn't say it was all luck. I said it takes a lot of luck to win so many close games. That doesn't mean I'm saying they won because of mental toughness, so clearly you can't infer. With so many of the other factors in football, it's crazy to win 8 games by such a small margin

People should stand behind what they say. If someone else calling them out when they flip flop or just to explain is trolling, oh well.

Look at dude who laughed at your Colts winning the division line. So you offer him a bet. Is that considered laying bait/trolling? Why didn't you just let it go?

I didn't say it was all luck. I said it takes a lot of luck to win so many close games. That doesn't mean I'm saying they won because of mental toughness, so chalky you can't infer. With so many of the other factors in football, it's crazy to win 8 games by such a small margin

The inference being they won't be as lucky next year.... Are you sure I'm the troll?

Ha. Horrible example. I was telling him in so many words to put his money where his mouth is if he's so confident about Houston taking the division. I wasn't laying bait. I was serious.

That's different then when someone has a horrible 4th quarter or misses a game winning shot or something and you post one line that reads "I guess he lacks mental toughness."

Going 11-5 is not luck regardless of how you do it, great step for a young team and they can build on it.

People on here care too much about HOW teams win.

And in threads like these when i ask them to explain there position I'm being serious too. So I guess we both trolls. What you're refrencing is the NE-SF game when NE was getting drilled for most of the game. Posting that line every time something went wrong for NE facetiously/sarcastically since they explained that mental toughness matters so much I was just posting that that's why NE was doing bad not because of all the other factors that matter, but because they lacked mental toughness. In that case I wasn't being serious so yeah I was trolling, but they took a swipe at my intelligence so whatever. Them dudes ain't even respond though :lol

Is this mental toughness crap going to go into 2013? Ugh, thought the offseason would've killed it. Vikings are dumb if they don't have an outdoor option, such a great advantage that they don't utilize

If I wanted to insinuate that "they won't be as lucky next year" I would have just said it. All I did was point out they played in and won 8 games by less than a touchdown. You brought up mental toughness, not me.

This is exactly why you don't understand this, and why we took shots at your intelligence. No one said mental toughness is a deciding factor in a football game. You inferred that. We simply said it's a factor. No one said NE was losing that game because of mental toughness. You just took a line to run with it and never understood the actual argument. Then you'd misinterpret what we'd say, and spit it back at us. When we tried to further explain to make up for your misinterpretation, you called us flip floppers. That's why you're the troll.

People on here care too much about HOW teams win.

People care about how teams win because there's so many factors in a game, and a small sample size of games played. It's just to try and find out how good a team really is. For instance, the texans went 12-4 last year and 10-6 the year before but the 10-6 team was way better than the 12-4 team.

:lol

anyway...agree that the vikes should use the weather and elements to their advantage. it really does help once you get acclimated to it, which happens quicker than you think once you start practicing in it.

Disagree wholeheartedly. People who take the "all that matters is the W" mentality like you seem to be doing are short sighted. How and why teams win games is important because its a good predictor of whether or not that team will be able to carry it through the postseason. All that REALLY matters is that you are the last one standing at the end of the year. Sure you will take wins any way you cam get them but every coach will tell you they'd much rather win 11 games the way the Niners did last year than the way they Colts did.

The fact that they won 11 games by very close margins against an easy schedule means that when trying to figure out how good the team really is, those 11 wins don't hold as much weight as they normally would. Do I give them tons of credit for executing when it mattered and coming through late in games? Sure. And like you said its something to build on for a young team. But that doesn't mean they were as good of a team as most 11 win teams are.

So last question, if all you were doing was pointing that stat out what's the point of the qualifier " I think they're a good team, but that's an awful lot of luck falling in your favor." ? And those are your words, exactly.

Fully expect for you to say I'm just not smart enough to get it because that's how you operate. You backtrack and say
that's not what you meant (even though its clearly what you meant) than just say I'll never get it. All good though, not even mad.

Exactly why they will be one of the most dominate teams in football in 2014 and 2015 (playing outdoors at the Gophers house). One of those years they are winning the Super Bowl. I can feel it!

I said that because if you look at their schedule, it's hard to gauge them. They come back to beat the packers which was a great win, but also squeaked by the chiefs, browns, dolphins etc. which are pretty mediocre wins. Audio got blown out by the bears, jets, and patriots. Yes I said the jets.

They have talent, and could very easily replicate last season, but could also have a couple bounces go the other way.
