Former Detroit Lions wide receiver and current free agent Titus Young was arrested on Friday, his third arrest in a week.
Last Sunday, Young was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. Later that day, he found himself getting booked in the same detention facility for attempting to break his car out of the impound lot. On Friday, Young was charged with burglary, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest, according to Josh Katzenstein of the Detroit News. Neither Young or the police officers were injured in the altercation, which started when police officers arrived at a home Young had broken into. He tried to get away on foot and started a fight with the officers. Young is still in custody as of 1 p.m. Sunday and his bail has been set at $75,000.
Young's latest incident further damages his chances of finding a spot on an NFL roster this season. The Rams claimed Young off waivers earlier this offseason but after spending some time with him determined he was not worth the risk and released him. That came after numerous behavioral issues led to his release from the Lions.
