Welp Atlanta midas whale throw in the towel if Julio is out for the season

NFL can now force teams to be on hard knocks if there are no volunteers below are the only stipulations for teams that can decline:

Has made the playoffs two years in a row
Has a new head coach
Has appeared on Hard Knocks within the last 10 years

For some reason I see them going after the Patriots first

Trading Gonzalez to the Chiefs would be as fairytale as fairytale can get.

I want to see it happen.

NE is an interesting case. most notably because of the "closing window" with 12. defense finally playing well. clearly a piece or two away on offense. i actually think anything 5th and higher might be worth it for us to be honest.

however, all that said, pass catchers coming in mid year into NE's offense and trying to learn our offense isn't really too promising. it's tough enough with a full camp, even for proven veteran receivers. tony G is tony G, though.

I would give up max a really, really late 5th for Tony Gonzalez. Like, where the Broncos drafted in 2013 (#28)... a pick that's essentially a 6th rounder any way. His value is more of a 6th though.

And it's solely because it's a one-year thing, where there's not even a chance of a second go around. And not even a one-year thing, like how about 10-12 games.

:lol @ yall thinking Tony is worth anything more than a 7th (if that)

Get a clue

:lol at you thinking #88 isn't worth a 4th or 5th.
For one year? Over a 4th/5th round draft pick who could potentially be a multiyear starter, at low cost?

Notsureifsrs.. no team is doing that.

notable 5th round draft picks:
2007
brent celek
2008
brandon carr, carl nicks
2009
jasper brinkey, james casey
2010
kam chancellor, riley cooper
2011
richard sherman, jeremy kerley, denarius moore, quizz rodgers
2012
george iloka, vick ballard

make of that list what you will

i don't think a 5th would be ridiculous to give up. but i wouldn't give anything higher, assuming he actually does retire this time around :lol
