Disney Not Moving Forward With 'Tron 3' (Exclusive)
Tron 3 won't be coming to a theater near you.
Disney has chosen not to move forward with a third installment in the sci-fi series, sources say. While sources say the project was never officially greenlit, earlier this year it seemed that things were moving ahead with Tron:Legacy helmer Joseph Kosinski returning to direct and stars Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund reprising their roles.
Prep had been started on the third film, and production was looking to shoot this fall, likely in Vancouver, British Columbia. Disney had been interested in adding Jared Leto to the cast, but an offer and negotiations had never commenced.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to Star in ‘Big Trouble in Little China’ Remake (Exclusive)
20th Century Fox is excited about a new take from “X-Men: First Class” writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is in negotiations to star in and produce a remake of John Carpenter‘s cult classic “Big Trouble in Little China” that will be written by “X-Men: First Class” scribes Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz, multiple individuals familiar with the project have told TheWrap.
A representative for 20th Century Fox did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Johnson is making a deal to play Jack Burton, an all-American trucker who gets dragged into a centuries-old mystical battle in San Francisco’s Chinatown.
Johnson and his 7 Bucks Entertainment producing partners Dany and Hiram Garcia pitched the remake to rights-owner Fox, which released the original film. “Big Trouble in Little China” is one of Johnson’s favorite movies, and Miller and Stentz have already closed a deal to write the script.
The original 1986 starring Kurt Russell and Kim Cattrall only grossed $11 million at the domestic box office, but it is revered as a cult classic and a cable TV staple that fans can’t resist watching from when it airs.
Tom hardy as Neo this time around. With the way the matrix trilogy ended I am in favor of a remake. That last movie was garbage.
CONFIRMED: Eddie Redmayne to portray Newt Scamander in “Fantastic Beasts”, plus an official release date
Warner Bros. Entertainment has confirmed with MuggleNet that Academy Award- and Tony Award-winning actor Eddie Redmayne will portray the lead actor for the role of Newt Scamander in the new wizarding world trilogy of films Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Newt Scamander is the preeminent magizoologist, who in his travels has encountered and documented a myriad of magical creatures, ultimately leading to his penning the Hogwarts school textbook Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Additionally, the first movie is set for worldwide release in 3D and IMAX on November 18, 2016, and Steve Kloves, who scripted all but one of the films, has been confirmed as producer alongside previously announced David Heyman, who produced all eight Harry Potter films; Lionel Wigram, who served as executive producer of the last four films; and J.K. Rowling herself.
Author of the Harry Potter book series J.K. Rowling has penned the Fantastic Beasts film script in order to bring another venue of the wizarding world back to life for the millions of adoring fans of the Hogwarts saga.
They were on track to do it but after Cloud Atlas and Jupiter ascending no one wants to give them money anymoreLookin forward to the remake of some of these remakes.
We're about one or two favors away from them remaking The Matrix. Serious.

bruh i watched reloaded this weekend and the part where he fights all the smiths after talking to the oracle he was looking like paul phoenix from tekken 3 in the face
I still think Reloaded is the superior film, just the OG has the "first time" sentiment attached to it.
The Smiths fight, his warm-up fight with Seraf, the freeway chase, the Chateu (sp), the Merovingian (sp) and for the love of God his girl Persephone (sp), the twins, the music, the Architect. All of that was greatness and upgraded over the first.
Revolutions was the huge letdown to me. Only the final battle was solid, like 10-12 minutes, that's it.
