News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

Don't know why the comics news is in this thread anyway.

Marvel teased a "big" announcement a couple of days ago that would happen on The View. We all thought it was somehow related to the marvel movie verse.
Oh. That's gonna be for comic con. They aint giving The View movie news.

That's how Marvel is winning though. They told ppl announcement was being made and then got a bunch of ppl to tune in about comics news.

‘Fantastic Four’ Isn’t Based on Existing Comics, Kate Mara Says

Actress Kate Mara, who stars as Sue Storm in Fox’s Fantastic Four reboot, says she’s never read any of the comics, but that’s just fine with director Josh Trank.

“I’ve never been a fan of comics, I’ve never actually read one,” Mara told Esquire Mexico in an interview presented by ComicBookMovie using Google Translate. “I was going to for this movie but the director said it wasn’t necessary. Well, actually he told us that we shouldn’t do it because the plot won’t be based on any history of anything already published. So I chose to follow his instructions.
The one fact is I am a fan of comic book movies, so it’s very exciting to be part of a movie like this.”

She also said she understands the character has a lot of fans, but that doesn’t make the role more intimidating than any other.

“I don’t feel more responsibility with this role that I’ve felt with others,” said the House of Cards star. “I understand that there are many fans of Fantastic Four, and I guess they expect a lot from me, but I prefer not to be pressured by that. We are also trying to create a new way of seeing these superheroes, I’m focusing on making her [Susan Storm] as real as possible.”

Opening June 19, 2015, Fantastic Four also stars Michael B. Jordan as the Human Torch, Miles Teller as Mister Fantastic, Jamie Bell as The Thing and Toby Kebbell as Doctor Doom.

EPIC FAILURE FORTHCOMING

comics. but no one knows how it will affect the movie verse like if Thor loses his power and this is the backstory or whatever.

I wonder if this is the same storyline where Thor "died" after the Fear Itself storyline and Marvel promoted that Tanarus guy as the new God of Thunder.

The artwork looks nice for the new Thor...But cmon, you can't replace Thor.

I see people aren't ware of how comics have worked for the past 100 years. :lol

Thor will be woman for a bit and go back to being man, relax, thats the point of comics, you can do wild things for a good story and just hit the reset button.

Smart move by Marvel, increases the cultural relevance of Thor.

Pretty much.

When Human Torch sacrificed himself and he died, he eventually returned. Peter Parker eventually returned. Cap did too. I just read that Cap lost his powers and he's now old??? It'll just be a way for Marvel to make money.

Wolverine is going to die next so we'll wait and see how that will turn out.

Thor becomes unworthy. Likely due to the events of Original Sin or Uncanny Avengers, or the events in Thor: God of Thunder might make him snap.

This is a pic of unworthy Thor.

He is using the Jarnbjorn instead of Mjolnir, like he used to before he became worthy

Young Thor is on the left

A female character gets the title of Thor when Thor becomes unworthy.

Why Thor is now his moniker and not his name is beyond me.

It literally says this Thor is a new character in the article that was posted :lol

Yeah I was reading an article saying the current Thor will also stop using the name while he's unworthy. So FemThor will be "Thor".

Makes me wonder, what is Thor now that he is not Thor? SMH

They want to bring females into the mix by setting them up for failure? Eventually Thor will re earn his worthiness, get his hammer, and come back to being front and center and she will likely be pushed off to the side and given a weaker hammer if that.

The blatant FU to the source material. Why not just name this movie something totally different?
