News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

Earlier Sony mentioned that they were working close with Marvel for the ASM sequels. I'm not expecting a full on Avengers cameo but I'm not doubting it either. I'm also expecting the mystery of Peter's parents to involve S.H.I.E.L.D somehow. If Nick Fury pops up in this film, watch the bandwagon just multiply by a billion :lol

I wouldn't be surprised if Sony and Marvel working together simply meant tying together the comics to the films or vice versa: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/do-marvels-comics-hint-at-665641

Similar to how Marvel is using it's cartoons to introduce characters like GotG in the Amazing Spiderman cartoon and the Avengers getting a reboot last year to keep it updated with the members of the movie version.

Sony and Marvel have a good relationship. Oscorp tower was supposed to be in the Avengers skyline but they didnt render it fast enough (not sure who was supposed to render it). Also helps explains why Spidey is leagues better the fox films. But Marvel's word aint law with Sony. I doubt Marvel would have all spidey villains, including venom, come from Oscorp. Marvel said they arent worried about the fact that they will likely never get Spidey back. They don't even care. It's the X-Men they wish they had back. Wouldnt be surprised if they replaced Mutants with Inhumans in their film to see if they can render enough competition to stop fox

Like I said. ASM was the second worst. But the Rhino and CGI ruined all anticipation I had for this film. Before that this was a highly anticipated film for me

Marvel has already moved on from the X-Men and know they're not getting them back. Don't think they could even handle getting them now given all of their plans. They're only one studio with a budget and right now it seems 2 movies a year from them is their limit, they might push it to 3.

Plus right now they've already established their own angle of super powered ppl popping up all over the world with the Inhumans and there Inhumanity event. I figure once Marvel announces that as a film there's no turning back so even if they get the X-Men rights back it'll be a long while before they start developing that (other than adding Wolverine to the Avengers), might just bump it down to a netflix tv show given all of the plans they have in motion. I do wonder who has the animation rights.

Animation as in cartoon? I am pretty sure they own all the rights outside live action movies. But they just have sony produce them. Sony was behind the Iron Man Rise of Technovore and the upcoming Punisher/Black Widow.

They can always get more studios. They will definitely have to push it to three regardless of x-men. I am sure some mutants will be Inhumans in their cinematic universe (like scarlet and quick) But for the most part those movies will be about the royal family and people who are inhuman in the comics. They can definitely fit mutants in there. But i have a feeling they are only doing inhumans because they dont have mutants and are just saying "**** it" at this point.

Lions gate does a lot of marvel's animated movies, right?

Lionsgate also does a lot. I know they did the planet hulk animated movie

Yah if Marvel suddeny got their rights back no way in hell would disney not force them to pick up the slack from fox and sony. They'd be making 4 films a year
the hulk looks realer than spidey
That bright *** suit :{

Cartoons or animated movies

And nah, you just don't "get" more studios :lol Disney is not gonna just keep shelling out cash unless it's making more than enough money back, especially when they got guaranteed money in Star Wars coming up. It wouldn't be a problem if every Marvel movie made a billion dollars but when you're hearing rumors of a Dr. Strange, Inhuman, and/or Black Panther film you don't just okay these things all in the same 2 year span without getting some assurances first. Not to mention two different studios is more chefs in the kitchen.

i wish they get michael jai white, wesley snipes, or simon adebisi from oz to play black panther

Adebisi's the man, but he was already in Thor 2. He was actually pretty dope in that too.
Yeah he was Malekith's right hand. I don't even remember him dying in it.

Yeah I had caught all their stuff on netflix.

I just notice I haven't heard or seen anything X-Men related for a while now in cartoon or animated movie form, even Wolverine (last thing I remember was the anime Wolverine along with Iron Man).

Marvel is slacking in the animated movies department imo. I truly don't know why. They keep making these ridiculous animes.

Technically, Marvel owns the tv rights to any characters and that is why there are some saying Spidey could appear in Agents of Shield. The only limitation is that they can't use the same actor or resemble the costumes used by other studios in their films, as in they can't be mistaken from the films. So no black leather vests for XMen characters. :lol

With animations and cartoon, Marvel has the rights to them but they do not always have the resources so they partner up with animation companies but they also have their own subsidiary Marvel Animations. They also partner up with the distribution, I figure this is a cheaper and more efficient way for Marvel/Disney to get the products on the shelves for them.

Also there is an X-Men Anime

Not sure if it is a movie or a tv show

Read that Neil Marshall would be the one to direct the Constantine series. Pretty good choice.
