News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

Damb it Kunis!...what is about you that shoots right through my heart!

Jack reacher was pretty dope, then again I Enjoy anything Tom Cruise puts out, same with Will Smith.

yeah, Jack Reacher was dope.

Not really impressed with that JA trailer.

That Jack Reacher movie was actually dope. I'll watch another one. Dude needs to always play smart crazy dudes, because that's what he is in real life. A sociopath that found the right profession. He can fake the funk all day and get paid to "act" like someone he isn't.

Yeah they used that kid that Moira was watching over and I believe Charles was telling her about a technique he knows where he could transfer his consciousness or something to that nature. Forgive me for the vague response, it's been a while since I've watched that film. I have nightmares of cursing juggernauts and underdeveloped cyclops' and shadowcats'

If im not mistaken didn't he transfer his consciousness into his twin brother's body---who was also brain dead..?

Maybe that would explain not really being able to walk :(

Whoa. Wonder what he means.

Singer may not be the greatest director but I appreciate the fact that he's pretty responsive with fan base desires

People really forget that he had nothing to do with the Last Stand.

Easier said than done and it's too late now especially since First Class pretty much started all over again and now, they are trying to combine both worlds. Fox didn't plan these out like Marvel did but it seems like they do now, which is what everyone wanted. Fox has 2 XMen films now, a Deadpool film in the works along with more Wolverine sequels (depending on what they do with Wolverine in DofP) and an XForce film and it looks like all could link to each other. This is what everyone wanted and they are doing it, it is the beginning of a long process for Fox and I think they should at least get some credit for trying instead of churning out random films that doesn't coincide with the past films and see that is again another problem, even comic book fans loathed that Origns was very inconsistent with the past XFilms and how First Class didn't feel like a prequel to those older films too and by watching, you should know that it is wasn't meant to be but people still complained. That is why they cannot simply make an XMen film out of nowhere that in no way relates to the past films with a whole new cast, it'll just be a bigger problem than trying to solve it.

To an extent I agree.. I'm glad that they are taking notes from marvel and building a long term plan for these things and how they will all be connected..

But as long as they continue to act like the first 3 films still exist in this new universe they will continue to have a lingering mess

They could have easily pulled what Sony did with the amazing spider-man.. Or what marvel has done with the hulk for what the 3rd time

I would hate to think that they are going use DOFP, one of the greatest comic stories ever told, to pull a "Star Trek"

First class should have been the clean break.. Start with the original guys, cyclops, colossus, storm, wolverine, nightcrawler, beast and jean grey.. Then you can add angel, bobby drake and whoever else

Do it properly instead of trying to do everything right built on a screwed up foundation.. Now havok is what to cyclops?

I think it's only a matter of time before we see Tatum in some superhero role. That Jupiter Ascending trailer was cool.
^ i just think all of that is unnecessary (especially when you are using one of the great story arcs to do the dirty work).. they should have just gone with a clean break.. and reestablish things..

then you can use the DOFP story line somewhere between movies 3-5.. 1 and 2 should be about introducing guys to the already established team, them fighting sentinels, magneto and juggs

and i dont mean in an "the amazing spider-man" type of way where they retell the story all over again.. we know the characters, we can start in a world where the base x-men are together and exist in this horrible world where they suffer for simply being born different
That's not how it works in Hollywood. To them they think you have to stick with continuity or reboot the franchise completely otherwise fans will all be lost and confused. They're mainly focusing on children/teens when they do that. Even if you change actors for supporting roles the idea is to either stick with continuity or reboot. So the Rhodey in IM2 did what the Rhodey in the first IM did. James Bond in Golden Eye is the same James Bond in Casino Royale (despite that one rumor that every new actor be Bond was a different agent to take on the Bond spy identity as if it were a promotion). So if it's not same continuity you have to retell the story, origins included like they've been doing and most likely will keep doing.

We thought they were doing that with First Class but obviously not since FOX didn't hold on to the writer(s) or director to just continue from there and ignore the past movies. So now we got this.

I don't mind them doing this with DoFP cuz if not this one it would've been some other story everybody likes. I had a similar idea but to do it with Age of Apocalypse cuz Jackman aint gonna be Wolverine forever and there can be better actors to portray Storm, Rogue, Kitty, Gambit, and Iceman among others. The way I see it when this in-universe reboot done that's when they'll probably interact with the F4 and that should at least be cool cuz that's new ground since there aren't plenty stories connecting the two in the comics but plenty potential connection given each of their histories. Plus if either or both suck I imagine FOX will give up at some point or give the Marvel properties to some director with a clear vision to ride out for 10 years and if that fails I think then they'll probably give it back to Marvel since by then they'll have succeeded in making billions off of the likes of Inhumans, Defenders, and Forbush Man.

At this point, I just do not see them giving up. TheWolverine is the second highest grossing in Fox's Marvel properties, just behind Last Stand. So that shows that there is still a lot of loyal following minus the nit-picky comic book fans who wants everything to translate into the big screen exactly page for page.

There are probably a lot more ecstatic fans about the announcement of Apocalypse than upset ones because Fox and Singer are doing it.

I don't see them doing Avengers number, not even close really but it will easily beat Last Stand which stands at $460mil worldwide and that will simply encourage Fox. The announcement of Apocalypse in the next film will also add few millions to their numbers too, it certainly couldn't hurt them in the box office.

Also, they are rebooting the Terminator franchise? I thought they were just going to add more to the series?

Title Revealed for the Terminator Reboot?

As the search continues for the new Sarah Connor for the upcoming Terminator reboot, Production Weekly is reporting that the film may have its title. The site reports that "Terminator: Genesis" is the current name for the project, but keep in mind that this early into pre-production, it could simply be a placeholder or undergo a change as the film gets closer to release.

Casting is still coming together for the film which is said to also be looking for a new John Connor and Kyle Reese. It's reported that the production is concentrating on casting Sarah before any of the other roles with Brie Larson and Emilia Clarke said to be the frontrunners.

The first in a stand-alone trilogy, Terminator will be produced by Megan Ellison of Annapurna and David Ellison of Skydance. Dana Goldberg and Paul Schwake of Skydance will serve as executive producers. Laeta Kalorgridis (Avatar, Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry) are attached to write the screenplay.

The Alan Taylor-directed film is slated to hit theaters July 2, 2015.

I like Alan Taylors work though, he did great with Thor2 and of course GoT.

Yeah apparently it's a reboot. Nothing is gonna be better than T1 and T2 imo. Last I saw was about casting for Sarah.

I'd prefer they kept going after Salvation and simply stop paying homage to the prequels with seeing Arnold at one point or the other but it's w/e I aint interested. The thing about Terminator was it was pretty fresh with the whole time travel, robot apocalypse concept at the time. Now, it'd need to have great acting and great cgi to have it be hyped where it could be big again.

On another note, one funny thing I read about this whole rebooting through DoFP with the X-Men and how nothing connected with each other from Last Stand to First Class or Origins to X2 was that Wolverine Origins was actually a false implanted Weapon X memory and none of it happened at all :lol :smokin I wish they'd add that in somewhere. Pure gold and so meta.

Reboot? Good ******g night. Won't waste a penny on it. That's bull ****.

Carl from TWD should be casted as a young John Connor, i love that kid.

Marvel did spoil us.

However Fox has made some messed up movies. So what can you expect?

Rebooting Terminator(movie & tv show), Beverley Hills Cop, and Top Gun. :{

wait, what? Top Gun?!?!?!?!

There's three things you can't just reboot. Star Wars, Back to the Future, and Top Gun!!!!

Good luck to whoever gets cast as the next terminator. If he's not a beast people will crucify him.

Why can't they leave terminator alone. They're already f'n up robocop with that wack PG-13 rating
