News On Future Films Based on Comics/Paranormal/Sci-Fi

Anyone watch Ender's Game? My friend who likes the book said it was good.

Might watch it tomorrow. Also planning on watching Thor next week and Hunger Games in a few weeks. [emoji]128526[/emoji]
that **** was DOPE

At least the cartoons stay true to the source material. Iron Patriot is Norman Osborn in the Ultimate Spider Man series.
That's awesome. Are they doing a dark avengers storyline? I stopped watching ultimate spiderman. The concept is cool but drake bell's voice as spiderman is just annoying
Norman Osborn is Iron Patriot in the 616 universe (the main Marve Universe).  Tony Stark is Iron Patriot in the Ultimate Universe

Good to hear. I'll get a copy of the book after I see the movie. I think my friend mentioned there are other books too.

He can't be killed because of his healing factor right?
Probably but Deadpool was alive at the end of Wolverine Origins even though his head got cut off

Deadpool can regenerate from pretty much anything.  He has regenerated before from being a puddle of blood, as well as from being destroyed down to his big toe.

He has also survived being trapped in an underground cave for 600 years, and was still a ninja assassin when he came out

Anyway, a few weeks ago, on fb DC asked what is the best Batman story arc. The fans voted Hush (although from my limited experience with Batcomics I would give it to the Court of Owls). They base their batmovies from combining story arcs. Wonder if that will lead to the big screen or not.

James Mangold & Hugh Jackman Set To Return For THE WOLVERINE Sequel

According to Deadline, Twentieth Century Fox has begun negotiations with James Mangold to return to direct a follow up to The Wolverine, with Hugh Jackman on board to reprise the titular character for an unprecedented seventh time. We had assumed that Jackman's role in Bryan Singer's upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past might mark the actor's final appearance as the adamantium enhanced mutant, but that was before The Wolverine did so well at the Box Office -- the movie currently sits on $413 million worldwide. The story it would follow is said to be under wraps, but apparently Mangold is making a deal to write the treatment, with Lauren Shuler Donner producing.

Hands down The Dark Knight Returns is the best of the best, not just a Batman arc but of all comic book arcs out there.

Other good ones are The Killing Joke as mentioned, The Long Halloween, Year One, Son of the Demon, Death in the Family (OG) and Red Rain. I think those are the must-reads just off the top of my head.

Omega Red would be cool, why Psylocke though?

She was already butchered an wasted in Last Stand.

Maybe if DofP reboots and resets the universe and they cast a hotter and actually give her a good role, then it could work. But recasting and ignoring her prior existence is just another FU to the movie-verse.

Jackman is going to be Ian McCellan's age and still be pumping out Wolverine movies. :lol :lol

Still, I'm happy to see another. Outside the final 20 minutes, this last one was really solid. They just stumbled a bit with SS.

Like Fox gives a damn. Put money that they wont even give her a british accent.

X3.... :{ That movie disgust me. This entire franchise is so not true to the characters I cant even tell who is who.

They ****** up the Age of Apocalypse and the Phoenix saga in one movie yet people are excited to see them ruin Days of Future Past.

You must lead a bitter, bitter life. Relax man. Wait til it comes out before you scream about it. Still got 6 months, you won't have no blood left in your fingers bruh. :lol

Just to add to waht RFX said, Arkham Asylum, Venom, and Knightfall of course.

Need a storyline with Omega Red, Psylocke, and Maverick tied in somehow.
The movies have completely butchered anything Weapon X for me so no on Maverick. I'd love to see Omega Red though.
Omega Red would be cool, why Psylocke though?
Psylocke cuz of Uncanny X-Force or some earlier story where they both had somebody in mind they wanted to kill in the comics (to me he looked like a taller Japanese Wolverine in a suit. All I recall from that is Wolverine would torture him every year by cutting off a piece of his body cuz he killed one of his lovers or something and Psylocke wanted to kill him for some personal reason. Think he brainwashed, made her kill for him, and raped her).

I dunno, TDKR kinda doesn't age well for me now. Still a really good story but I dunno about best of the best. It's iconic cuz it completely changed how Batman was written (and that's funny cuz most ppl should've just looked at it as a future elseworlds story like DOFP).

When did they **** up Age of Apocalypse? Nothing related to that story has been in the movie (Legion, Apocalypse, time travel to the past, Bishop, etc.)

Ignore sunshine, dude just talks out of his a** at times.

As for TDKR, I think it aged well like Watchmen, it is just one of those gritty take on the character that everyone can read and enjoy. Sure it isn't the same impact when it first came out because it was so much darker back then but I feel it is still very relevant. It worked well in the animation they just released too, was simply great.

I think if you ask almost any Batman experts out there, the debate is always between TDKR and Year One for the most part, and I can agree with that.

As for Hush, I feel it is a good story but not great. Jim Lees art definitely makes it a fan favorite than the story I think. Still love that arc but take away Lees art and it may not get mentioned as much as it has.

They can easily ignore that debauchery from X-3 :lol Hell, most people don't even remember the travesty of Psylocke from the Last Stand.

And I forgot they went with the Maverick "Agent Zero" angle in X-Men Origins. Even made him Asian. *face palm*

Agree that TDKR aged like Watchmen.

And yes, it's always betweend TDKR and Year One. And The Killing Joke added as a 3rd wheel sometimes.

Hush was kind of like The Long Halloween, in terms of being more of a detective story. But that's where the similarity ends. The Long Halloween was way better than Hush IMO.

I aint talking out my ***. The "cure" was not a cure at all. It turns out the cure was a virus that made mutants stronger and slaves to apocalypse. It didnt heal angel, it turned him into Archangel. So not age of apocalypse but the precursor to AoA

You are reaching way too far on that one. :lol

The "cure" didn't turn anyone into anything, it became a temporary solution hence Magnetos power was returning by the end of the film. The cure was a cure but a temporary cure.

So just because they use a cure for the story it is AoA? There was no hint of Apocalypse, there was no hint of a virus or turning any mutant that was given the "cure" to be anything other than suppressing their power.

That is like saying TDKR is a pre-cursor to "Death int he Family" arc because it introduced Robin albeit the wrong Robin but a Robin nonetheless. :rollin

I meant they ruined the virus story and the virus story is a precursor to AoA.

Not to mention the portrayal of the Morlocks was terrible. Why is Storms nephew asian. I could just go on. At least the Avengers had a good reason for Rhodes being Iron Patriot. Fox has no excuses and gives no dambs. They have done nothing but spit in the face of X-Men fans over and over and over again. It's why I been done with em
