We did it… now let’s cut some fat
The San Diego Padres traded Juan Soto to the New York Yankees on Wednesday, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan, marking the second trade in less than a year and a half for the 25-year-old outfielder who has established himself as one of this era's most gifted hitters.
The Yankees also received outfielder Trent Grisham from the Padres as part of the seven-player deal. In exchange, San Diego received right-handers Michael King, Jhony Brito and Randy Vasquez, starting-pitching prospect Drew Thorpe and catcher Kyle Higashioka, sources told ESPN.
Idk about broke but I think their payroll was way over where it should be based on income. Their owner had cancer and knew he didn't have long so he went for it. Can't do anything but respect that. The rumors about them being broke must be so true.
Tied with Willie Mays and Frank Thomas in wRC+. Dude can rake so well even I'll look past his defense lol.How good is Juan Soto….
He’s 19th all time OBP.
Getting Trent with Soto is like finding an extra nugget in your 20piece
