The funniest thing to me is when Yankee fans try to act like Mets fans are the insufferable ones. You know how many "Jeter is the best Yankee ever" comments I've heard or ""Jeter is definitely in the Yankee's Mount rushmore" remarks I've heard this season. Laughable.
They're all under the same umbrella. New York fans as a whole are some of the worst out there with their outlandish statements and stupid comments. It is what it is. The big difference is always gonna be team success unfortunately. Yankee fans will always have that to fall back on. You can **** on a Yankee fan for saying that about Jeter and they'll come back with rings or "we just have that many HOF players". Even though that's the biggest *** hole response you can have. You don't have anything to fall back on as a Met fan when you get mad at Harvey for this and somehow this means he should be gone or is not a true Met.
Let's all also remember Harvey was a Yankee fan as a kid. Completely understandable and I don't see anything wrong with it. NY media though, they blow everything out of proportion as it is. I bet there was a headline the next day that read "Harvey to the Bronx?"
i swear, the mets change, modify, or tweak their uniforms damn near every season
they got rid of the cream pinstripe jerseys and went back to white pinstripe jerseys, and ditched the white non pinstripe jerseys, and got a new alternate hat.
they'll probably make some type of uniform change or modification again in a few years.
I liked the black jerseys back then. Teams tried to incorporate black in their jerseys during that time, mets, reds, a's etc and it looked cool for the time period, plus they were winning in those jerseys. I wouldn't mind them wearing them once a season or every other season but nothing more then that though as those jerseys look very outdated.
Regarding mets home uniforms at all the switches they make
2009 white pinstripe with black outline on name and numbers
2010-2011 cream pinstripe with black outline on name and numbers
2012-2014 cream pinstripe with no black outline on the name and numbers.
2015-? White pinstripe with no black outline on the name and numbers and their scrapping the cream jerseys.
That's 4 different home uniforms in a 6-7 season span
Wheeler is not the biggest miss the Mets could suffer this year. Sucks we will not see how he progressed from last year, but he definitely had issues going deep in games and really elevating pitch count early in starts. I remember he did get into a nice stretch for sure last season, but the rotation is still pretty damn good. It all rests on the surgically repaired elbow of Mr. Harvey however!
Oh yeah Steven Matz- I have heard really good things, but have yet to see him pitch--- What do you think our pitching lineup can look like next year- or even later on this year if we do some call ups?
I doubt Colon will get traded or be put on the waiver if the Mets are in the wild card race. Alderson would probably like to keep Colon if we have a shot this year because of his experience. I have a feeling that we might make another run at Troy Tulowitzki this summer. One of our young promising pitchers could be part of the deal.
I don't blame you. I love Tulowitzki's game, but not his injury prone. Contracts don't really bother me anyway. I admitted that I always got concerned about contracts, then I realize the MLB have no salary cap at all. To be honest, if Tulo stays healthy, I'd have made a trade for him in a heartbeat .
