So disappointed to lose Barkley. But not surprised when they didn’t make it happen last year writing was on the wall. But why why not trade him at deadline. It would have lowered the odds of him going to Philly. This strings because with that stacked team dude will have HOF type seasons if healthy.
This is a GM coach mindset. They gave $ to backup QB and RB singletary but that’s for basically a year. They didn’t want to give Barkley $ far out

Guessing they go Nabers at 6 if he’s there.
Danny Dimes? Guess one more chance since the top 3 teams won’t be trading down. But I’d bet they have a QB they would love to get. Wouldn’t be surprised if a team wanted to by chance trade out of top 3 they make the move. Or bottom of first round for a QB

its going to be painful seeing that green jersey in my city
draft time.....didnt pay much attention to media and podcast and radio and written word, but today offf work, soaked a lot it up.....

i'm shocked though, the gun thing and the outgoing personality(seemly) thought for sure JJ or Rome there....
Yes, we just passed on a few QBs that other teams front offices feel are franchise turning QBs
we will be looking and wondering
we go into season with more talent that we had here in a long long time. both sides of the ball are improved
look at chargers they pass on 2 WRs for tackle.....look at bears they pass on tackle for yet another WR.....these teams all have their own blueprint.
speaking of bears they are doing good job of trying to get caleb a nice start in his career, which is so important......food for thought....take a look at their roster....whoever you think the 3rd best WR is on that roster.......he is better than the best WR DJ has ever played with

Penix or Nix at 6 would have been a big reach. There’s a chance Penix might not even play there.
Yes they lost Saquon and it hurts, but they were able to use that money that would have went to him, to retool that Oline with better talent. Now you bolstered your we core with what’s supposed to be a top weapon.
Now go get some day two contributors for this roster. Lots of good secondary available.

Defense front seven was supposed to be solid. From what I watched, no one was getting in the backfield and putting pressure on. Secondary was a huge question mark coming into the season. They were hoping for a huge 2nd year leap from Banks.

My comment got laughed at because I said it wasn’t just a QB thing (considering who it was, I’m not surprised). Jones was absolutely terrible. There’s no denying that and it’s time for him to go. I said he needed to go after last season. But the defense was not good.
CB2 is going to be a problem all year and it showed. And the front seven didn’t do much all game either. One sack, a few pressures, and a handful of hits is not good. Believe they said it in the broadcast, with the time Darnold had, it was like he was playing 7 on 7. No one has mentioned that Thibodeaux was benched yesterday? Both 2022 first round picks were benched at some point in week one. That’s absolutely terrible.
