I admit I was fooled by decent passing season his rookie year and decent season in 2022 with bad bad oline and weak weapons to pass to.
2024 giants was most talented team DJ has played with by far and he couldnt get it done. this team while not perfect has talent. look at the roster wash has and compare it to ours. outside of QB I like ours a lot better.
DJ admitted the watt strip fumble was on him for not moving the TE over. that mistake is ok for a rookie. but not a QB that has been here for a while. year 3 of season.
Panthers game to me showed how bad he really is. 3rd and 8 vs panthers first drive misses nabers badly on a play, that play if he hits, puts us in FG range. we score a FG or TD that first drive. DJ needed to put 30 points on panthers win that game win bucs game then maybe you can say well first half season he was rusty but no this dude couldnt make simple plays.
to me he regressed, he used to be able to hit on pass plays over 20 yards while not many attempts good % he has to be bottom 5 in NFL. how can a coach game plan with a QB that can throw deep?

dabs should get a raise. all these wins with not having a starting quality QB. if we had Geno Smith here an avg QB we are 6-4. josh allen ? 9-1 8-2. Look at all these Ls blown bad plays by DJ time and time again. don't want to hear about drops or Oline, this team has talent.
enough of the morons saying we choose DJ over barkley. we could have had both here in 2024. Thank GOD they didnt bring back Barkley. you realize we might have a decent season like 2022 had we? DJ might be fooling us that he is decent an we are 5-5 and end season around 500 . NO i'm glad this is how it played out. I think thats why the giants didnt want barkley here. they wanted to run their bills offense here and not their simplified DJ barkley offense of 2022. we gave up a 2nd round pick and 28M per year for buns. if joe wanted barkley here hes here.
IF You really think about it, in hindsight we should have traded DJ and barkley back in 2022.
Joes first moves was declining DJs 5th year option and signing Tyrod. I think they were prepared to bench DJ had he had a bad start to 2022. he didnt and fooled them into thinking he was decent. but they werent sold so only 2 year deal. 2025 high pick ton of cap space.
AND i'm wondering today did dabs and joe tell mara after the 2022 season hey mara we are not sure about DJ, maybe we should let him test free agency. Mara: but what if we lose DJ? well then we got tyrod or we get baker....Mara: do you think they are better than DJ? Joe / Dabs: no but they are in same league. Mara: well then lets try to get DJ locked in ffew more seasons and get him some NFL talent.
I could see that exact convo playing out. Because joe and dabs seem very confident they will be here.
and they should, find me another coach that has more wins that dabs with ONLY Backup QBs.

3 wins for DJ 3 wins for TD.
