New NDC launch process

Yeah. I think the EXT Kobe's were the first to use this. It's terrible.

I look at it as it will allow me to get my spot and then move over to the other sites where you have to click a ton to get one in your cart and I can just keep an eye on it in the background until it hits.

I look at it as a waste of time for honest people (and resellers) who have to deal with the whole bot madness.

If Nike wants to get really trill, they need to start timing checkout time and observe how fast certain transactions occur for patterns from certain customers and ban them. That's already part of what they posted about people "cheating" the system.

its just like eastbay timer they sometimes use. nothing really new...

I think it's cool that they're changing it up. Can't keep the same thing forever. ESP. W the bots it could potentially make things better. Just leave the window up and try other sites

^^^ bots or not, they still get paid. Why would they ban paying customers ?

Because they care about the customers missing out.

It's not cool that they have to change it because of bots.

Somewhere down the line, someone is going to find another way to cheat the system....just get rid of the TLO, and place the shoes online at a time specified...

True. But I mean we also have to look at it from nikes POV as well. They see the bots, notice what's going on but know they can't really stop it. So they just change the method up a lil bit

The method isnt changed at ALL to stop bots!! The bots will just be the first ones in line like how its always been

bots interfaced with a link sniper will still be the first on line. this queue is for people who come after and try to add a size. you are queue hoping for someone in front of you with your size to time out or remove from cart.

its a damn shame that the world has come to this about some shoes..lol..i love my shoes, but damn! desperation! lol

Yeah but this new system only hurts the consumers, not the resellers. You've already got west coasters waking up at 5am to try and get these shoes, now they're going to have to wait in line just for a chance to get them?!

And to the argument of going to other sites, Nike will only lose that business because people won't buy there. Obviously the shoes will still sell regardless but Nike wants to be to go to source.

I have a feeling this is only a temporary fix, and something else will be done to combat the cheating. I don't even get NDC releases like that, I just hate it for the people who CAN'T because of bots and resellers.

the only easy fix is increase production

bots or not, people were never able to get their pairs.

i dont understand why they dont, i think people in general could careless if there a big production on popular shoes. whether not they make 100 or 100 million corks, yeezy, SB, Jordan 11s, etc

they will probably sell out

Nike is only one who has a problem with bots...why arnt people complaining about the supply cause FNL, eastbay and etc are just as hard maybe a little easier.

Very interested in how this will play out. Pretty sure this will somehow fall flat on its face.

There was a reason I've been buying my shoes from ndc coz I never get lucky with fnl's method and the other sites counter, and I'm in and out within a couple minutes without having to waste time waiting for a spot in line. Now they follow fnl's.

What does NDC and FNL stand for?

NDC is nikestore.com

FNL is finish line

FTL is foot locker

J23DC is the dude who posted above me

My hope is that this is not like fnl. I despise finishlines launch process, their website ends up not allowing you to purchase any shoe not just launch shoes. The last bred launch I tried to order some air max' for my wife but got one of those goddamn count down timers, pissed me off. Hopefully nike's really is limited just to whatever launch product instead of the whole damn site. It's a turn off for regular everyday customers if they get a countdown when they want product x y or z not product a and can't get through. Awful awful awful customer experience. Anything that puts a barrier in the click though order process loses money for etailers, so hopefully nike recognizes that.
