My niece is in middle school and received this math problem that I am having a hard time helping her out with and she needs to go to sleep soon so I turned to NT. Here goes the problem....

"Find a formula that gives you the total number of toothpicks for figure N"

the formula is: n(n+3)

so if n = 4, then 4(4+3) = 28 which is the value on the chart

you have to use n such as (n*2+4) something like that
