Thanks, but on behalf of Clipper Nation, we'll pass. We don't want Corey back and we don't need Monta because we have Eric Gordon.Originally Posted by daprescription
NBA Star Warns Over Stolen Laptop

Lawyer: "Private images" of Baron Davis were on pilfered computer
AUGUST 12--A laptop containing "a variety of private images" of NBA star Baron Davis has been stolen and the athlete's lawyers are threatening legal action if the material is published. Counsel for the the Los Angeles Clippers guard, a two-time All-Star and novice film producer, yesterday sent news outlets a letter threatening legal action over the personal photos, videos, and audio stored on the computer (a copy of the letter sent to TSG by the law firm Lavely & Singer can be found below). Davis's counsel reported that the laptop theft has been reported to police, who are "investigating the matter." The photos and videos "depict, among other things, a variety of private images of our client, his associates and his colleagues," wrote lawyer William J. Briggs, II. Davis "had a reasonable expectation of enjoying total privacy with regard to the images," Briggs added. The 30-year-old Davis, who earns about $12 million annually, recently produced "Crips and Bloods," a documentary about the nation's most notorious street gangs. (2 pages)
GMs Don't Think Iverson Is Worth The Troublehttp://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_a.../gms_dont_think_iverson_is_worth_the_trouble/
The overwhelming belief among NBA general managers is that Allen Iverson isn't worth all the trouble that could come along with him.
"It's a really dicey question," one general manager said, according to NBA.com.
However, unless he decides to retire, Iverson is likely to find a home before the start of the 2009-10 season.
"As a GM, it would be interesting to find out how many GMs with playoff-caliber teams would be willing to even give the veteran's minimum, where the league picks up a large percentage of the salary," the same executive said. "Even at the minimum, you're going to go through training camp and one or two months of the season trying to get the experiment to be successful. I would venture to say that 30 percent or less of playoff GMs would have him for the minimum."
Iverson isn't opposed to signing a one-year deal, but sources close to the guard claim that the circumstances would have to be right.
"There are different scenarios impacting AI at the same time," another GM told NBA.com. "One of them is economic, another is the recent performance of his last two teams -- Denver and Detroit -- and not necessarily his performance, and another is teams protecting space for next summer.
"All of those line up. Another probable factor is what he's asking for. I don't think it is one thing. It's a multitude of factors."

After Hedo Turkoglu backed out of a verbal agreement with Portland in order to sign with the Raptors, many felt the Blazers let a top player slip away.
But Orlando Magic general manager Otis Smith didn't agree.
In a conversation with Blazers' general manager Kevin Pritchard, Smith told Pritchard that he had "caught a break" with Turkoglu signing elsewhere and made it clear the Blazers "weren't missing out on anything," sources tell RealGM's Alex Kennedy.
Smith didn't feel that Turkoglu was worth the five-year, $50 million Portland was ready to spend.
Turkoglu spent five seasons in Orlando before signing with Toronto.

The Knicks reportedly came close to a deal for Ramon Sessions a month ago.
Now the Clippers appear to be near an acquisition of the Bucks' restricted free-agent guard.
Mike Dunleavy is not commenting on the subject.

Minnesota general manager David Kahn said on Tuesday that he could trade Quentin Richardson by the end of the week.
Richardson has already been dealt three times this summer.
New York traded him to Memphis for Darko Milicic in late June.
The Grizzlies then sent Richardson to the Clippers for Zach Randolph.
Less than a week later, Los Angeles traded Richardson to Minnesota in a multi-player deal.

The Jazz say they aren't in a rush to trade Carlos Boozer, but the forward's jerseys are on sale at the team's stores.
Utah's chain of team stores has reduced the price of Boozer's jerseys by fifty percent. The Salt Lake Tribune is reporting that all varieties and sizes are available.
Jerseys of Deron Williams, Paul Millsap, Andrei Kirilenko and Mehmet Okur remain at full price.
