i agree with playing kawhi straight up. he's very very good, but i just dont view him as a prolific scorer yet. to where I'm afraid of a 40-50 point outburst each night. you double guys like curry and harden and kd. if kawhi hits 35 points fine. but at least now you're keeping bodies on siakam so hes not also matching the 30. and fvv doesnt get loose. long as you contain the help, you're fine.

GS should just play Kawhi straight up and not double. That will cut down a bunch of those looks in the paint. We all know Kawhi will dribble the ball for the full shot clock if forced to. Turn him into an iso player and it’s curtains because the role players won’t be able to get in a rhythm.



Yep he has been but he’s been inconsistent also which is why they’ve had 6 plus game series during this playoff run.

I think those inconsistent games are because he played against likely this years DPOY Giannis and Embiid who are both long and great shot blockers at the rim.

Draymond who is also a former DPOY is a different type of defender, who doesn’t have the same length. But I’m sure he will step up his defence. He stated as much.

Also in those series there was a lot of half court offence.

I think next game GSW adjust and forces Toronto to play more half court offence sets.

his first game back. his first few weeks back from the achilles he was struggle af too. he had some good games after that. takes a min to get in game shape.

dont really know if i forsee him having any impact in this series tbh. some nice passes here n there. maybe nab some rebounds. nothing special though.

If I’m nick nurse and I see them playing him straight up I’m taking the ball out of his hands and sending him to the mid post where he’ll draw the double on the entry pass because he’s too strong for any of the dubs’ wings. The rest of the raptors will get open looks like last night.

that's what i'm saying, in regards to him too. i dont know if he'll have an impact. i will say, i've seen kevin back form injuries before go off in that first game. same with seeing curry go off in first games back from injury. both are better shooters than boogie. and weigh a lot less.

but yea, until kd gets out there and shows his strengths or limitations, the jury is out on him too
