First off that was never the argument. You said where is he gonna get 30 mil outside of the NBA. My whole point was him staying with the Warriors makes that alot easier to reach because he and everyone else on the team benefits from the teams success.

The only reason he has the Anta deal and the other deal is as a result of winning. If he makes supermax elsewhere he has to risk losing that exposure to the casual fan who is willing to buy jerseys pay top dollars for games and other events. Playing Christmas day means something to the player especially if you are doing it every day. You gotta see the big picture.

Players make pennies on each Jersey sold, no player in NBA history has ever been paid 30 million off of Jersey sales.
Klay is getting Anta money because of the Chinese population in the Bay, same way TMAC and Harden get money in China from Yao being from China and none of them ever won anything.
Those 30Ms hurt and ain't being made up off the court no matter how many championships he wins.
