so curry wasnt hurt? and he just couldnt get past kevin love because curry was trash? and kevin was just that good? but then a year later he cooked kevin love on multiple switches?

yall being intellectually dishonest.

He may have very well been hurt but you don't get to do this and somehow it be used as an excuse later on when you play poorly.

Nobody is 100% healthy by the time the playoffs come around. Kawhi is out there hobbled and still balling you won't see anybody coming out saying he was injured as an excuse if they get bounced by the Bucks.

What did KD do without Steph?

Oh I don't know win ROTY, 4 scoring titles, a league MVP, be a 5 time all NBA 1st team player and 7x all star before joining Wardell. No biggie.

What your suggesting is the Lebron/Wade dynamic that somehow Wade winning a title before Bron made him a better player, despite all Bron's accomplishments before coming to Miami. It doesn't fly.

Steph had his chance to cement himself as the best player in the world in 2016, but he blew it in spectacular fashion.

I love how we ignore all of the other points. Lebron came to Miami and that was his team to run and manage as the point gaurd. Wade was also years older and past his prime as the leader, no one is making that argument for Miami and honestly that is easy to shoot down.

Lebron was the leader with that team, also coming off an MVP season when he walked in. Did KD come into the season as the reigning MVP?

I guess a better question prior to coming over to the Warriors who had a better legacy up to that point?

Was the game changing as a result of what KD did in the league?

Steph hadn't even won a title and was doing that the league now is a shooting league because of one guy. The ROTY might be a smaller version of Stephs game.

Im not sure how Steph would have done that with the knee injury, and lets look at the history of the league when is the last time a league MVP won the finals in the same year. Been almost 20 years.

Stop it

Your boy has a skewed view of the pg position.

I also take it he never watched Curry play for Mark Jackson?

Get that clown outta here.

Russ name get brougth up lol. Im taking J Kidd over this clown all day everyday
I brought up Steph's numbers under Mark Jack to show that it's not that Steph can't be that guy, it's that he doesn't need to.
The team is better when the offense doesn't flow solely through him but he can get the numbers and still does occasionally.
Then we switched to rebounds and I almost had a brain aneurysm in Target reading the texts he was sending me.

"Steph don't grab boards"
"Actually he does, but he's a guard....who cares about rebounds for guards? Especially guards with his frame. He's barely larger than me."
"Well these guys grabbed boards!"
Then sends me ****** who grab less than Steph

Steph an All-Time great
Magic greatest PG

but to keep it fair I'd prob have Steph in my all-time starting 5
Because I got Bron in my all-time 5
and bron and steph pick and roll/pop would be GLORIOUS

Sounds like all basketball talk with him should just stop.

Cats forget that this man was MVP on a team that didnt need him to play the 4th quarter most of those years lol

I do it to **** with him a bit cuz I know his reaction, but that **** be backfiring on me and I be getting heated man
I'm 6'2" 180-185, Steph 6'3" 190ish and this ***** talking about boards like someone essentially my size is gonna be a glass cleaner in the NBA

Oh word? Please provide me with a list of guys over 6’5” who were the primary ball handlers and playmakers on their teams before Magic. Thanks.

Also, “do”, not “due”.

Rick Barry
Oscar Robertson was 6 foot 5
Magic also wasnt the first point forward. A GOAT for sure but not the first. What did the league have to change for Magic?

Dudes is funny while the pace is up there in the NBA I never saw Magic have to break a legit press against his peers, he wasnt even the point at MSU. Magic was a bad man but again I asked how has he changed the game?[/QUOTE]

I’m not going to go back and forth with you because if you don’t think Magic is the guy who really paved the way for bigger players to play any position on the court then I really don’t know what to tell you. That’s changing the game.

Kobe stans should be the last people to say anything about a player not being on a level others try to put them at.
Kobe fans really think he's up there with mj Kareem and Bron.
NO shame

Lol wut? Bron won league MVP and the title in 2013.

There wasn't a game changing result in Steph winning in 2015 cause he lost the very next season in the biggest choke job in league history.

Wade was a top 3 player in the league when Bron came to Miami in 11. Seriously if we're just making up stuff then there's no point in continuing to discuss this.

You can't argue his resume isn't up there with any of them sans regular season MVPs. He's way closer to them than Steph is to him.

that was the first game back. bro i know you've been hurt before and felt injuries but the adrenaline let you feel better than you actually were. any of us that ever played any real sports has felt that adrenaline high. dude was off for 10 days or however long it was. and that was his first game back. of course he'd feel good. He progressively got worse as time went on though and wearing that mcl back down. Its not an excuse. He played poorly. But, at least logically, it wasnt without reasoning.

These arguments for newer players always end the same man

1) People seem to always completely disregard the defensive side of the ball
2) People use stats (especially advance metrics) w/o using full context such as style of the game, coaching strategies of the time, the pace, the roll they played on the team, who there teammates were etc etc that effects everything

Ex player x in the 90's only grab x amount of boards compared to this new age player........ well do the stats account for teams taking an insane amount of shots & how quick they get them up, does it account for the fact that Centers/PF are smaller then ever, does it account for the fact that A lot of the bigger players are farther from the basket

This works both ways, but the older i get the more i realize it's really difficult to determine who's better when we're talking completely different eras.

that elite team...went down 3-1 paw paw. curry had recurring injuries, draymond got a game suspension (whom 90% of reporters and analysts say if he play game 5, gsw wins the series) iggy got hurt, and momentum was lost. and also, even with that, if harrison barnes literally just made 2 more shots, warriors win. swallow your spit.

Curry>>>>Magic

Curry>>>>>>Bron. that 4th ring gon hit different.
LOL not even going to dignify this with a rebuttal.

Did they ever say what drug caused Tyreke Evans to be banned? lol

Quick question, what's the best virtual team y'all ever been on?
For me it was the 76ers:
Jrue
Monta (CPU traded Evan Turner for him)
Me
Thad Young
Andrew Bynum
We won 80 games and pulled off a 3-1 comeback against the Lakers. Kobe scored 90 points in game 7 :smh:
Monta is still the best teammate I ever had and I was on the Thunder in 2K11. Was just randomly thinking about it

Rick Barry at 6 foot 8 aint do that? Come on man. I get what Magic represented but lets not act like he aint have someone before him doing that.

Of course Magic is blown up him and Bird saved the league as they say but lets not act like no one else out there was doing that.

Do ya hw dont make ya self look crazy out here.

You are correct 2013 yes that is correct, prior to that it was Tim Duncan. It doesnt happen often and the league has even changed the formatting policy of the MVP announcment because historically the MVP usually falls short in the playoffs, just happens.

I dont get the Kobe hate at all. name a worse roster then what Kobe had in 05-07 that went to the playoffs and made noise in the western conference? You cant.

Lebron is probalby the only other guy but thats in the East

Magic
2 more rings
3 more finals MVP
1 more MVP
4x assist leader
6 more all star
7 more 1st all-nba
1 more steals leader
All facts.

But Steph Curry has passed Magic?

Ok.

Steph Curry somewhere between Kobe and Steve Nash

This thread is really trash on non game days. Y’all spending pages arguing what they saying on 1st take and undisputed  :smh:

We got all summer to discuss legacies and ****.

I mean I guess I understand, the warriors are gunna run through the finals again so what is there to discuss really.

And these are the dudes that say "such and such on whatever show is dumb, how can you watch that?!?!".

Dudes was using Nick Wright to help prove a point a week ago.
