Which is probably why he is wearing the 2012 and not some outdated retro sneaker with technology from 20 years ago. A football player would not wear a helmet or pads from 1990 so why would a basketball player wear shoes from then?as a pro athlete you should be a sneakerhead.. it's your job to have the best shoes out there.. it is beneficial to your health and not be satisfied with some generic type sneaker. your career and health are on the line.. it all depends on what is best for your feet and how it helps.
As nice as those retro J's look on court I would wear hyperdunks, hyperfuse or any other new Nike, Adidas, Reebok or even Li-Ning shoe over those outdated pairs of retro's. It's not their job to have the best looking shoes it's in their best interest to have the best performing. I think a lot of you guys tend to mix those two things up.
