Namco and Capcom rumored to be working on Tekken vs Street Fighter

Bloody Roar is even less likely even though those games have gotten less bloody through the years. Just not as popular as SF by a long shot. Long >  though, dude was sick

I don't think SF x Tekken will require that much work from Capcom. Looks like they will just transfer the data from SF4 for each character. No doubt that they will add some extra moves though.

I would hate for the fact that they're both working on MvC3 and SF x Tekken to have some negative influence on the outcome of either of the two games though.

You haven't been reading. THEY ARE MAKING 2 games.... SF X Tekken (made by Capcom) and Tekken X SF (made by Namco)

The capcom one will run on the Super Street Fighter IV engine and the namco one on Tekken 3D something something engine.
Basically the fans can choose which one to buy. Me (SF fan) will cop the Capcom version but I have Tekken fans as friends and they want to throw down so I might have to cop both....*sigh*

At Capcom's panel, the company said the release of their game was "Not for a while," and according to Japanese gaming bible Famitsu, that means about two years... so put your waiting shoes on.

Famitsu spoke to Yoshinori Ono, the genius behind Street Fighter, and he said the target is to release the game two years after its announcement. We will learn more at next year's Captivate Conference.

Given that the game had only been in development for about a month, the gameplay shown at Comic-Con was very polished and impressive, but probably doesn't represent a true picture of what the game will look like when it is finally released. Even basic details have yet to be decided upon. Ono says he's thinking of making the game 2 on 2, and adding an "assist" feature swiped from the iPhone version of Street Fighter 4.

Both games are being developed completely separately, with no cross-team input between Namco and Capcom, even the character models for each game are going to be done without input from the other team.
