Ol girl was shook "I...I feel like you guys are ganging up on me now" sit yo dumb*** down and fulfill them requirements :lol

this **** is a long episode of true life

I thought we were gonna see some real ****

mtv i am disappointed

All those people in the youtube comments were crying for no reason.

Don't know why I thought MTV would have a real discussion about white privilege.

That part with that guys parents was pointless. This doc should have focused on young people only.

You not changing the mind of a old white man who gets his info from Foaux news

before this aired, I kinda started to feel like the conversations were not gonna be as raw as they needed to be. I mean, this is MTV.

was definitely right.

they scratched the surface, which is more than I have seen before but all in all, it was still very safe.

Im just hopin that this doc inspires someone to do what MTV didn't.

the doc im hoping for will be online only. lol

Yep :lol :lol they will NOT let a thorough documentary involving this be on a major broadcast. They really did scratch the surface, but never dug deep. You saw the potential, but they stayed with a tame route. MTV needs a chance to really go for the jugular with either a two hour episode, or multiple episodes.

My wife got all sorts of **** from her classmates in dental school. She heard "your only here cause your native american" like she didn't take the same tests to get into the same school.

My unbias opinion:

I think this documentary also has to do with social economic class aside from race. And there's still a lot of white people in this country, so the amount to apply for scholarships of course will be overwhelming for whites. I also think it's a way to make white people feel that guilt and you other minorities are loving it and hoping this could open new doors and give more opportunities to minorities.

Damn @ the whites saying whites are the "Norm" or the "Default", as if we minorities are mutants or something, that was messed up. I also didn't like the fact that the white teachers didn't discuss the negative things they did in this country in terms of history in the Native America school.

If this was the only documentary which is 1 hour, it's not enough. They didn't cover the more important aspects. I was hoping they'd cover the jobs situation because that's for sure where all the white privilege is at, as well as housing, loans, banking etc. Scholarships was talked about too much, BTW did the statistics ever count the football, baseball, and basketball scholarships minorities get? I'm a minority and was still able to apply for scholarships and financial aid from school. No interviews required, no judging on appearance, it was simply the faster you apply, the more guaranteed it is but getting a job is a bit more difficult for me.

For all you guys laughing at this documentary though, what if they made a "Black People" documentary? Or "Mexican People" or etc documentary, oh wait, that's racist right?

That's just my unbias opinion, but I know I'll get flamed anyway because there's always anger on NT.

You should simply try turning on your tv and basically seeing those 2 on every channel, whether it's on purpose or by accident. Also, you had some great points in that entire post, then basically negated it with those 2 sentences. I'm not even sure why you'd even ask that based on what you posted beforehand.

I added it because I'm not bias, I speak of the positive aspects and the negative aspects for every side. It's just some things to think about, I try to be as fair as possible.
