Koreatown isn't too bad, check out the South Bay (Torrance, Bellflower, Carson, etc.), Southeast (South Gate, Downey), San Gabriel Valley (Arcadia), the East (Alhambra, Monterey Park) or Dodger Stadium area (Silver Lake, Echo Park) which are heavily underrated and you can find low cost living with reasonable commutes to Downtown LA. In terms of rent (not mortgage), if you want cheap don't look into the Westside (Santa Monica, any beach city) or Pasadena.

too bad for you guys..the house next to mine was a 2 rm / 1 1/12 bathroom i think.. rent was only like 1200-1400..street parking.
it just got rented out like last month...
