If anyone has any tips to drop, it would be much appreciated.

My air lock conclusion is based on the fact that the pump kicks on, runs for an extended period (5 mins), shuts off for an extended period...water does move up the pipe but only moves beyond the check valve by an inch or 2. When the pump shuts off, you hear the watee go back down the pipe.

I removed the check valve, confirmed the flap moves. Ran the pump without the valve in place and saw the water just bouncing up and down in the pipe. 6 feet short of getting high enough to make the turn in the pvc pipe to travel the additional 4 feet to exit the drain pipe.

Yeah, so I paid some folks 175 bucks in labor to come out and replace the pump. If I had of known replacement was the only step, I def would have tried it myself.

Entire time I'm watching them do it, I'm saying to myself, yep, I could have done that...yep, could have done that. By the time they were done, I said to myself I should have done this.

Granted it took them about 60 minutes which would probably been around 5 hours for me (few hiccups they had the tools to overcome...tools I don't have), but still.

Alright, yeah, that 175 bucks was worth 5 hours of my Friday, **** it.

Yeah. Danner work boots, plus I had 3 insoles made. One to wear for work to slowly get my alignment back, one for activities like hiking/working out/hooping, and one for around the house. The insoles were $499 each. I fully expect my entire life to change

Taking pride in my lawn progress. The dethatching and manual core aeration were a ***** but its paying off. Spent about 10 hours total over 2 Sundays.

Not taking progress pics. Don’t need the best lawn, just a better one. The easy part is the cutting, weeding, fertilizing, and watering.

Yes. The soil out here is mostly clay which is the most susceptible to compaction over time. Now add a thick layer of thatch from 3+ years of grass clippings and it’s near impossible for water, air, and nutrients/fertilizer to reach the soil and grass roots.

But before you do anything get a soil test done and figure out what type of grass you have. If you have a hard time getting the test probe in the ground even after watering then thats a sign of compacted soil. Time to aerate - core is best, spike is a waste. And detaching should generally be done once a year.

I live in Alabama so I’m familiar with clay. I had a patchy yard with dreams of a lush yard you could could walk barefoot in. Last summer my wife and I used a stirrup *** and went to town on our lawn and then seeded the yard with a ton of clover. It’s definitely helping but there are so many projects I want to do in my backyard that the yard itself is gonna take a backseat. Appreciate the insight though

Oh i'm passing out, easy. Had an ex that would finish chores no matter what because their mom traumatized them into it. Doing the dishes and cleaning the kitchen at 3AM and ****. Valuable as hell for a lazy *** like me. Funny thing is moms is the sweetest person in the world, but parents get less strict as they age.

I do bare minimum ****, load and run the dishwasher, take out the trash, wash my baby’s bottles, prep night feeds, clean myself up a bit. Try to be sleeping before 12pm. I have very low motivation and will power in those hours though.

When I was younger adult, I used to wonder how all of the somewhat older guys would be able to mack the women my age.

Now that I'm older, and see the complete disregard some dudes in their 20s have for their appearance...I completely understand
