I think it's been stated by one that shall not be named that their romance was cut down that even the kiss on the trailer was cut from the film.

They probably added the kiss back in.

I read it but was just lost on the Castelvania dude doing a R-rated Power Rangers for Netflix.

Did Saban okay that? Or is it not really Power Rangers?

I don't see that R-rated MMPR being something viable.

Unless the movie does really well, changing it from campy to serious wouldn't fly with Saban or the formula.

Since it's always been aimed at kids, it'll be a tough sell to make it edgy. Granted the majority of people who like MMPR are old ***** like us in this thread but i still feel that it won't fly simply because Saban's machine is based on toys and sales.

The real issue is finding a super flames tee / hoodie to wear to see this. Don't feel like wearing that traditional costume tee and the kith stuff well eff resellers for that one.

It's gonna be on Netflix too so it's not solely aimed at kids.

Besides they probably think they got a better chance of getting a nostalgic audience that wants edigness rather than children who have a hundred other things to get their attention.

I think they're only doing this cuz of the reaction that rated R Power Rangers vid that director did without Saban's permission.

Why are we comparing this to the OG movie? The OG movie was an extension of the show. The zords from the movie were based off of Kakuranger and looked exactly how they did in Kakuranger (and Season 3 of Mighty Morphin) sans the horrible mid 90's CGI. Its 2017, why do the Zyuranger guardian beasts look better in 1992 than they do in 2017? Again, I'll see the movie but thats only so I can talk my ****....

Well then there's nothing to compare it to then.

If the problem is just cgi effects and how it looks I'd say watch the movie first. If it's **** then it comes down to the budget.
