Apple is successful because they understand the consumer experience on all levels: software, hardware, branding & an effectively designed retailenvironment with great merchandising. They think with the consumer mindset being top priority.

Micrrosoft is a household name, no doubt. However, when translated into a retail experience, Microsoft products aren't as turnkey when introducing to aretail environment.

You can literally unbox a Mac/iPod, throw it onto a display, and ppl will play with it and be compelled to buy. Microsoft products don't have that"wow" factor that most consumers are looking for these days.

Sure you can get it cheaper, it'll do more, blah blah blahzay. However, in order to make a product as appealing, user friendly as a Mac, you have to tweaka Windows machine to get it there, often with 3rd party software.

Ok a lets say you have the Apple Desktop computer(not IMac) You have to pay High prices for low end hardware. A GTX290 is 450$
roll.gif

Stability and Smoothness?

Buy Cheap Computers you get a cheap experince period. Most people who complain about computers are those running on P4's with 512 mbs of ram

Price.

Windows Pc's always have had a better Components for your dollar then Mac

Vista brought Aero peek,Rich text documents, DX10, and Readyboost
pimp.gif
tothat table

Yea those Version's sucked

Where's a mac snob at so we can run 3dmark and see who benches more... my mom's 500 dollar pc or their 2500 dollar laptop

note I was strictly talking about the OS not hardware or anything else.

apple is all about ease of use, a lot of people like that, not because theyre stupid or too dumb to use a pc/zune or because they think their apple productsare technically superior to a pc, they just prefer the ease of use when it comes to apple products

This isn't even about which computer is better. No one is going into a Microsoft store
laugh.gif
. One of the best things about the Apple store is *@%%$$% with all the stuff inthere. The only thing I would probably mess around with in a Microsoft store is the 360, and it's not like it's thing to
eek.gif
about.

can you imagine the types of antitrust lawsuits that would follow?

imagine microsoft's stronghold on the global market,
then compounded by its ability to package its software with very affordable hardware

no one says peep about apple and their practice because microsoft still holds about 90% of the worldwide market

You asked for something new and its just one of things on the list. It helps if you have a million things opened at once but I'll admit the only newadditions useful are DX10 and Readyboost

Again, this is not a fact! I find that a lot of Mac loyalists are full of it.
